Divi,
Yesterday's episode was in a way like a scene after the disaster had hit. It was empty, forlorn and had pain. Pain in the heart for Jalaal and pain in other parts for Shehnaaz and Ruqaiyya, who seems to beat all her relatives in Agra in matters of grey matter deficiency.
It was indeed like the dust or shall I say pain setlling
Jalaal:
Yes he had thanked Jodha for helping him tame his anger, and was thankful though his dream was broken, his friendship wasn't. But, that wasn't the end of the evening for the poor chap. He was only human and was still reeling from the betrayal his "friend" had subjected him to. And you can see his damp spirits when Jodha tries her best to bring him back from the dumps, you can see the resigned way in which he finally feeds Jodha. You can see it his stiff stand-offishness with Shehnaaz next day.
Yes he is worn out - the poor guy
Jodha:
Realizing that the man of the household needed her as a strength, she mustered it up, and coddled him into eating, even if doing so with some really cliched and somewhat vague words. (They definitely need to hire new dialogue writers for her.)
jodha has needed new dialogue writers for a long time ... her intentions were always right ... Her words debatable 😆
What captured my attention was her dress next day, her usual regalia was absent, which is a symbolic thing, in our place where elders say, you shouldn't go out aplomb in front of people who've had a tragedy as this would depress them more. I don't really know if this is what the director had in mind.
Very interesting obsevation- aaj kal you are very observant Raksha!
How many laughed when she had to move the cartwheel out of the way so that Jalaa could feed her? Of late the cartwheel on her face reminds me of set theory math classes. Universal set Jo's face, exclusive set area inside the cartwheel.
That cartwheel should be in a museum 😆
Shehnaaz:
Deserves a special award, and her brain should be donated to computer science for their advanced optical recognition technique. How in the world did she recognise the cave lady as her mother? She looked like Stitch from "Lilo and Stitch."
Agreed ... But it was just like she recognized her mom in the portrait ... Now that she had seen the portrait, why wouldn't she recognize her mother live?
Ruqaiyya:
And this is where my attention lay.
How many of us beat our heads at her behaviour, I know I did (figuratively though). But, then I was happy with Jallu's behaviour day before y'day not for Ruqaiyya's sake, but his own.
Exactly .., regardless of whether Ruq's learns or not .., Jalal did the right thing
Ruqaiyya in the precap is someone who's battling the truth that's all too obvious, having assumed Jalaal's dil to be an extinct species, she now realizes with Jodha influencing his decisions that his dimaag she had assumed was under her control, is no longer so.
But Ruqaiyya is never on her best behavior with Jodha .., I think she is also insecure if Jalal genuinely forgave her or just did so because Jodha said so
Ruqaiyya is not me
That was the thing I told myself to control my anger at this girl. Of course she isn't me or any of us, to learn her lessons, and mind her manners so easily.
Not sure if I have great manners 😆Just kidding!
But Jalaal gave her the best verbal slap he could summon, the audha slap. Knowing how much audhas meant to her he said, he would sad that BEK would never be MUZ.
Yes, it was a very effective slap; but it also showed his disappointment that she did not fulfill her potential
But, did she learn? OF COURSE NOT.
Is there a way she could have learned to not hurt Jalal but still be caustic to Jodha? Any middle option?
However the italicized lines got my imaginations to run in full speed, and I tried imagining, what I would have done in Ruq's place. Now, that's quite an entertaining passtime.
For starters I would not employ such stupid plots. In fact I wouldn't even plot. Jalaal's heart lies somewhere else, and no amount of hatred would change that, so I would just be happy to be his trusted adviser now that Maham had been given the pink slip.
Ah but Ruqs doesn't like anyone to have a part of Jalal she does not have
And yes, to vent out my frustration at being friend-zoned by the hottest man of 16th century, I would have organized crazy events like Beghums Vs. Bandhis Soccer League (FIFA WC is getting to me I guess.)
Yes, Wc fever has caught you indeed
