Part-13

As Arnav about to go towards his office his phone rang. Frowning he glanced at the screen, who could be calling at this time?

He picked up the call seeing the id.

"ASR" came a frantic voice from the other end.

Worried hearing the tension in the voice Arnav's eyebrows bunched as he probed the man, "What happened Mehra? You sound worried."

"Sir, Khushi madam has come in the pub with two other men and taken our bar attendant to the back of the pub saying that they want to talk alone with him there."

"Sir the way they dragged him out... he trailed off before adding, those guys looked dangerous. I am scared for Sandy." He said sounding really scare.

Arnav's blood boiled. How dare they behave such way with his stuff and that too without his ascent? He needed to stop them from abusing the poor soul.

The scene from poolside flashing in his mind and he shuddered thinking of the lanky bar attendant, who had become kind of his favorite since he had started spending more time in his hotel pub owing to Khushi, in the place of the other guy receiving same treatment.

He assured his pub manager, "I will see to it. You don't worry Mehra."

He cut the call to go to the said place, when Kishore his escort wanted to join him. But already pissed with the information regarding Khushi and her team it only ignited his fury and he denied him in point blank that he would be fine wondering alone in his hotel.

In spite of Kishore's plead and protest he walked away leaving him with only choice to contact his boss.

**

His caller smirked thinking about the success ahead, completely unaware of Kishore, who had entered behind Arnav a few moments later and had missed him thinking Arnav was all alone by him.

**

When Arnav reached where his manager told him they were, he only met with semi darkness and silence. He swept his eyes in the whole area visible in the dim light there and found nobody.

He tried to call his manager again to ask if they had gone back inside the pub, but his rings went unanswered.

A sudden creepy feeling clawed inside him. For a moment he felt maybe he was wrong to come here all by himself, hence he turned to go back only to stop dead on his track seeing the gun pointed on his forehead and that was the same scene Khushi, Abhay and NK saw before them when they came out from the opposite door leaving from the pub.

**

At once their guns came out from their hidden places in their hands and Abhay warned aloud startling the guys now surrounding Arnav "Leave him b*stards."

The four goon, in black attires and face half hidden under the scarves they wore, turned to them startled, not expecting an intervention so soon.

Taking the chance of their little disconcerted state Arnav swatted the man's hand pointing the gun on his head, successfully throwing it out of his reach. By the time Kishore had come out from the same door behind Arnav and taking the opportunity he leapt up on the same guy who had been shocked with Arnav's sudden attack when others were busy gauging the three officers stalking in their way.

Before falling on the ground with the guy Kishore shouted to Arnav to get down and this time he obeyed without thinking twice and the next moment he shivered hearing the firing.

**

As soon Khushi, Abhay and NK had seen Arnav dropping on the ground they didn't wait and had fired.

Darkness being the main obstacle they had to be extra careful to not to hurt their man or Arnav in this mess.

**

The guys who had come to take Arnav started firing and one of them tried to pry away their man form the hand of Kishor, who had already served a few good punches on his face making him half unconscious.

Seeing their man unable to move they have left him and tried pull Arnav with them, but Abhay was fast to reach there and the man who had been pulling Arnav's hand received a bullet straight in his head, though unintentionally.

Abhay wanted to only hit his leg, but at the nick of time he had bent to force Arnav away with them and got hit on head.

His limp lifeless body fell on Arnav, soaking him in his blood and making his stomach churn.

**

It was a terrified experience for Arnav to see somebody getting shot before his naked eyes in head and what worse was his dead body fell on him his face facing him.

Arnav was sure that wide dead eyes were going to haunt him in his sleep for longer than he could ever imagine.

His body felt numb unable to move when Abhay had already removed the body from him and asking him to get up and at the same time instructing Kishore to leave the other guy alive to question him later.

**

Seeing Arnav immobile, Abhay looked back at him from Kishore. Understanding his situation he pulled his limp body up with force.

Making him stand on his feet Abhay jerked Arnav hard taking him out of his stupor only for him to see one of the two goons about to shoot Abhay while running to the other direction.

He pushed Abhay out of the way before he himself got hit in his hand. His scream got muffled in the sound of constant firing.

**

By the time hotel security also had arrived hearing the gunshots.

Having no time to thank, Abhay half closed his eyes lowering his head in a gesture of gratitude before he pushed Arnav in the security barricade.

They at once guarded Arnav bodily and started taking him out of the place, but Arnav's eyes searched for the only girl he had come here for in the first place kicking himself mentally for bringing this upon her and the others.

**

His paced slowly and half-heartedly as he scanned the whole area holding his injured hand with the other.

He finally spotted her in a distance and saw her breaking into a sprint towards a now accelerated car in which the kidnappers were trying to run at the same time firing from her gun.

NK too joined from other side coming out of his cover from behind a pillar.

He saw Abhay and Kishore too running to their direction, leaving the unconscious guy with one of the armed hotel security. They were little ahead as they were near the car.

**

His eyes went wide when he saw Abhay and Kishore went to stand before the now speeding car. He almost screamed to ask them to get out of the way when he saw Abhay shooting the front tires.

NK and Khushi who had reached by the time went from both side of the now zigzagging and haltingly rolling car. They jerked open the doors from both sides.

The car was still rolling when they dragged the two men along with the driver from the car and pushed them on ground.

NK and Abhay stopped the car from rolling more when Kishor put the break on. Khushi stood holding her gun on the men lying on the ground.

**

Before his security bodily pushed him inside the safe confinement of his hotel he saw them beating the hell out of those guys and as he slipped through the backdoor his eyes went wide in horror when he saw Khushi shot a Mehra who had just crept up from nowhere behind NK and about to shot him.

Though his gun still fired owning he had already pressed the trigger before Khushi's bullet had hit him on his chest.

Luckily Mehra's bullet didn't hit NK as he had already shifted in his place, seeing Khushi's signal, rather it had hit the goon who was stupid enough to stand up from the ground at that precious moment.

**

Before dizziness overcome him he could only think about the difference between their characters, when he went weak and numb in horror seeing a guy shot dead before his eyes, she cold-bloodedly killed one human being and didn't even flinch or looked back to see if the person was alive or dead.

Why are you like this Khushi?

**

Part-14 (A)

Arnav opened his heavy lids and blinked a few times to adjust with the soft light of the room. When he did get his vision clear he looked around to find that he was in his penthouse in the hotel. His eyebrows knitted together and then he remembered the events of the night. Suddenly horrified and restless he sprang up and sat straight on the bed.

His left hand hurt. He could feel the bandage on the upper arm as he pressed the arm with his other hand.

"It will hurt a little tonight."

Arnav's head whipped to the direction of her voice and he saw her, Khushi, sitting in one of the couches in the right corner of the room and looking at him with an unreadable expression.

**

He stared in her eyes expecting anger, but saw nothing. He waited for her to blast him for his stupidity, but she sat calm.

What's wrong?

She stood up seeing his confused face and strolled slowly towards him.

Seeing his face constricting in pain she sighed and picked up the medicine kept on the side table.

She offered him the medicine silently and he took it without even asking what was it for?

**

She almost smiled knowing that how he expected her reaction to be and how confused he looked seeing her calm composure.

He looked like the child expecting his mother's scolding for his mischief, but became even more scared when the scolding never happen thinking his punishment would be bigger than he was expecting.

But NO! She had no intention to scold him or reprimand him for his foolish action. Not when he was hurt and that too saving Abhay. It meant a lot to her.

Abhay was one of the very important persons in her life and how strong she might be but she couldn't see him hurt. She couldn't see any of her favorite persons in pain in that matter, as she felt Arnav's pain piercing her heart right now.

**

When she came to know that Arnav was shot she had felt the tremor of fear ran in her body and almost about to break in to a run to reach him, when Abhay assured her that the bullet didn't enter his hand only cut past his flesh and he had been treated accordingly, nothing to worry.

Yes what she didn't admit to herself also, Abhay knew just like that. Arnav was important for her, period.

**

She inhaled deeply looking at the apologetic eyes and wanted to assure him, but she didn't know how.

So she did what she normally does to assure her sister, when she feels scared.

She held his face in her hands and touched his temple lightly with her lips. She heard Arnav's sharp intake of breathe and pulled back, not wanting to give him any false hope. She could never bring herself to give him what he wanted from her, what she had read in his eyes, NO.

She had once tried to walk in that path only to be accused and treated as guilty later. She couldn't be able to take the accusations again, if history repeats itself.

**

Arnav didn't understand what to make of her behavior. When he was thinking that she would be spitting fire if not kicking him literally seeing his condition, her gesture astonished him.

When he waited for her to blow her fuse, she actually assured him that all was fine, without a word.

The soft touch of her lips on his forehead didn't stir any desire in him but affection and adoration all he felt at that moment.

He frowned when she pulled back soon after the contact, but he didn't miss the tenderness in her eyes in the soft glow of the bed side lamp.

It was first time she had shown a soft corner of her to him and he felt elated, to say the least.

Contented he fell back on the bed feeling heady and sleepy again, guess the pain killer has started working.

He felt her tucking him in the duvet and a soft smile adorned his face as he again went back to sleep, thinking that there is still hope.

**

So am I saved from he chappal, eggs and tomatoes? Never have written an action scene before so you are welcome to throw them if you find not up to the mark? I have my umbrella open😆

But hope you sweet girls will forgive me seeing Arnav healthy and happy😉

And now you guys have an inkling about what Khushi feels for Arnav, so yeh, you can expect some good moments among them now on. 😳

my god what an action ? i loved it. you said you are not good in action scene then what is this .my god you have given as a feeling of an English action movie. update fast with more action plus little love story.

Arnav indeed is very special to khushi and she would not let any harm come to him.
With some of the attacker being caught khushi and her team may have a lead.
Arnav and khushi do need to have a talk. Atleast her care has shown him dome hope
