Its been 4 months now. Geet got new friends in her class. It was all going fine with her studies. Deepak didn't leave a chance to talk with her whenever he finds her inside the college campus. Geet at first avoided him but later both became friends. Eventually Deepak started to fall in love with Geet but didn't tell her in fear of losing her. His friends teased him a lot for being a coward. Now he couldn't take it anymore and decided to express his feelings to Geet.
Part-5 (Continuation of the past)
After lot of inner struggle Deepak decided to tell Geet about his love. Though he decided to tell her but couldn't gather enough courage to face her. Because now they are nice friends and don't want to spoil it in anyway.
After the college premises, he offered her to drop home since it was raining heavily. She too agreed looking at the heavy rain which is not ready to stop. It became difficult for him to drive in the heavy rain. So he stopped the car on the sides of the road. They started to have their usual talks until he is able to drive again. So while chatting he asked,
Geet what will do if someone proposes you?
Hmm.. I wont accept him
He was surprised that she told without even thinking.
Why so?
Come on Deepak, how can I fall in love with someone? I won't be knowing anything about him na.
What if he is a well known person or even a friend?
May be I will think about it
He became silent. Didn't ask her further. He bought back from his thoughts when she called him
Deepak. Deepak what happen? Why suddenly you are asking me about this?
No turning back. He breathed in sharply and told
Because I have hopelessly fallen in love with you Geet
Geet was shocked more than limits. Did I heard it right? Did he just proposed me?
She stared at him without a blink. His eyes held so much love with expectation of her reply clearing her doubts that what she heard was absolutely right. She didn't know what to tell.
I.. I didn't think about you in that way Deepak. I don't...
before she could complete he stopped her
No Geet. Pls don't reject me without even giving your thoughts on it. Take your own time and think about it. I will wait until then. Whatever is your decision I will respect it.
Saying so he started the car. Rain has subsided a bit now. Both were silent till they reached Geet's home. After getting down from the car she straight went into the house without looking back at him even for once. He sighed and started the car to his home.
Exams are nearing and all students have started to prepare for it. Its been 2 months that both Geet and Deepak didn't talk to eachother. He wanted to give her enough time and she was confused of her own feelings for him.
Both got busy in preparing for exams but Deepak never missed to come in her thoughts. She wanted to talk to him but what ?. She was fighting within herself. She knew how a good person he was. This separation made her realise that she too love him. She didn't want to disturb him during exam time since its his final year which needs to be performed well (Note- Geet is 1 year junior to Deepak). So she waited for the exams to get over so that she could talk with him in peace.
After the exams, Geet called up Deepak and expressed her love for him. He was so damn happy. Both loved eachother a lot. Soon everyone in college came to know about their affair. They used to hang out almost all the time to mall, shopping, coffee shop etc etc...
Unknown to both, there is another person watching them by hiding himself who is burning in anger seeing Geet and Deepak together. He is Rohit. Geet's classmate who secretly loved her. In front of her, he would act like he is so happy for her but behind the back he would burn in jealously.
A farewell party was arranged for the final year students by the Management and organised by juniors. All students and staffs have arrived to the party hall. Geet was checking for the final touch ups with the arrangements, hmm Perfect.
The party was going fine. They had small games, dance, and also gave a gift to all out going students on behalf of whole management. . Now all started to have dinner. Meanwhile, Deepak got a call from his mother
Yes Mom
He panicked on hearing his mom cry.
Mom kya hua?
Beta your dadi is suddenly not feeling well and fainted. I have managed to take her to the XYZ hospital. Your father is also out of station. I don't know what to do. Come soon Deepak.
Don worry mom. Nothing will happen to her. I will come right away.
Soon Deepak was in the car ready to leave. Geet came running to him in the parking lot.
Deepak can I also come with you?
He thought for a while and said,
No Geet. I feel this is not the right time nor a right situation.
She became sad.
I will call you after knowing the status in the hospital. You reach home safely after the party. Okay?
She noddedd her head and half-heartedly sent him praying to God that nothing bad should happen.
But destiny has something else in store for them.
