About the Episode! I am speechless! For me It was the performance to die for! Harshad Take my bow , the show belonged to you today! Totally! It was an episode to die for, according to me!
To begin with Zain was all restless, he ran.. ran to save his wife! He realized he couldn't just sit back at home with his wife outside, stuck in the riots! He for the first time had regrets about saying something so bitter to her! Saying, "kyun kaha maine usse yeh sab" reflected his guilt for having said those words to her! He truly wished he could take back those words!
The scenario in the road scared the hell out of him! He kept thinking over his behaviour with her. His guilt, fear, pain, horror of the impending future was all so evident on his face! I don't remember when in the past I had seen such performance! Not in the last 2-3 yrs certainly!
The call from Aliya brightened his face up even in the midst of the chaos when he knew he himself was in danger of getting attacked. He received the call but it was inspector Khan! The information that he gave him was scarier! The sweat on his forehead, the swiping away of his hair in tension and anxiety and the panic attack was so real!
He rushed to the cop, asked him which way was the road where Aliya's phone and cycle were found! The cop doesn't listen and he asks again, the cop again doesn't reply and then Zain says "Meri biwi khoyi hai" and my heart just went out for Zain! Then he runs, runs again!
He meets inspector Khan. They recognize each other but must I say, I found Mr. Khan very professional! I guess there was a social message there! He was cordial with Zain understanding the agony he was going through, he showed Zain Aliya's cycle and then Zain found her ear ring on it! He had tears in his eyes! That made him think his entire journey with Aliya all over again!
The scariest part: Zain was asked to see if Aliya was one of the injured or DEAD! Zain was left almost lifeless! Anyone would freak out! And so did Zain, he did not have the courage to face it. His hands were shivering and then we had the flashbacks! All in reverse mode! I mean that was freaking creepy! It felt like their bond was severing! It was like someone was snatching away Kitkit's Mamu Ki Bhanji from Kitkit! It was like something was tearing him apart!🥺
Precap was another heart wrenching experience! Zain breaking down and then his voice echoing "Aliya Aliya" in the midst of chaotic nowhere left me with goosebumps!
About others in the show today! For the first time I could not concentrate on others much, I was so engrossed with Zain! Nonetheless all I could decipher was Suraiya is back to her Chudail form and all of a sudden! I kinda felt a disconnect there! In any case this Suraiya is much better than the easily manipulated abla mata! But what was up with Mamu jaan today? why on earth did I feel he was all chilled! As if he knew his son was a Superman who will in all probability rescue himself and his bhanji from danger?😕
Mamu ki Bhanji was not shown in today's epi although I totally felt she was more predominating he entire episode! And NO it was not because of the flashbacks of Aliya (that were definitely a plus) but because it was all about her today! Yes it was Zain's agony, his anxiety, his fear of loss, his sense of urgency but it was all for Aliya! So even though she was not technically present in the episode she was all present in it too!
PS: I was freaking out so much knowing what's about to happen! I don't know what I would have done had I not known what's about to happen!
Also, a special mention for the song Marjayiyaan! It is the most perfect choice for the entire sequence!
HARSHAD a question How on earth do you emote so well! Every single moment of you on my TV Screen was so so worth it! Wondering how you did it so well? Was it really easy for you to portray all these mixed emotions? It seemed as if you were really in a situation where your wife went missing in riots! (God forbid that, just saying it to praise your talent!)😃
Also Producer saab can you give Harsh a small break? He did look very worn out! Ek Break to banta hai! especially after how he has been performing through and through! Not to forget today's episode, it tops the list! The show belonged to him today!
