It all started with the election results. B-town's yesteryear actress-turned-author Suchitra Krishnamurthy made a distasteful comment about Bollywood actress-turned-politician, Gul Panag. Suchitra wrote, "Kirron Kher win over Gul Panag. India needs strong women & mothers not cleavage flashers."

This spurred a strong criticism from the Twitter community. None other than Sonam Kapoor reacted to this saying, "I cannot believe a woman tweeted that. It's disgusting. Women are the biggest enemies of women."

Suchitra reacted saying, "True . So if u ever aspire to political office remember to put ur clothes back on."

Kirron Kher from BJP won over Gul Panag, who was contesting on behalf of AAP. Kirron's hubby Anupam Kher tweeted about his wife's win. He wrote, "Congratulations @KirronKherBJP for winning the Chandigarh Parliamentary seat by a margin of more than 69000 votes. Jai Ho.:)".

Saw this on Pinkvilla, and had to post it here. W*F is wrong with that Suchitra woman?😡

Huh i study in chandigarh n gul panag have done many things here she is very popular among people n she was fave to win the seat! Suchitra if u dont know anythng shut the f**k off

This was total unnecessary on Suchitra's part.

Lol I think Sonam forgot all the things she has said about other actresses but still she isn't all that bad.Atleast she is defending Gul here.

wow.. Suchitra should have done some research before opening her mouth..Gul panag has history of social work behind her(Just to mention how my close relative was also involved with Gul leading campaign against female feticide in Punjab which is grave issue there) ...that's not even the point, what does Gul's dressing sense has to do with her social/political aspirations....seriously wth is wrong with people

Is it a rule not to show cleavage or dress not according to ones wishes when contesting for elections. Has our Constitution set dress-code for people contesting in elections? Women 🤔

Before today i hardly knew who was Suchitra but ths outrageous tweet of her made me know her a little. The kind of comment she made was only to get attention n thats what she got, otherwise nobody would love to know who ths idiot suchitra is .

Stupid suchitra! Does she even know gul? Gul has done lot of social work in Punjab was a fave to win. Honestly, kiron kher is a disappointment coz I'm sure she won't do much for the city compared to what gul would have done!!
