I have only minor issues with Rudra character progression. Yes if he really was the man he was he would have thrown Laila out but I think we have to look past that because it was done to facilitate the presence of Laila character in the show. And this happens in all soaps where characters are made to do odd things to facilitate a certain type of story. But despite all that Rudra is still in reasonable form. I did wish he had more intensity in that initial scene instead of glaring at Laila told her to get out and in the confrontation with her wish we saw him more in the Jallad mode. But in regards to his treatment of Paro there is nothing odd, mushy or weak about his behaviour. If this is how weak men act can I find myself one lolzzz. I do accept the fact we don't want him to lose his personality we loved him even at his worst but strictly speaking he was never that bad just only bad publicity.
RR has its flaws but this show is a trend setter in so many ways. Being unpredictable is one of them. I can't remember the last time I saw a show where the hero when confronted with a problem thought about it hard for a solid few minutes and said hell with it I am going to tell the truth. Ok here is the deal if Laila had not come back at all would Rudra be forced to reveal the truth to Paro, no, would that be wrong, no I don't think so either. There are certain things best left in the past and not wanting to rehash all your past skeletons is not always a sign of dishonesty or betrayal it is just the past has no value for you anymore so why bring it up when it means nothing. That is what Laila chapter is for Rudra she is of no value so why should he feel obligated to tell Paro, what might that accomplish. Whatever happened between Rudra and Laila was consensual and his life is not scared by this event he didn't become the man he is because of Laila, the problem for him is his mother. If Rudra as a husband should be open about anything it is his mom, Paro as his wife and his better half should help him through this suffering. I applaud Rudra for coming straight out to tell the truth and I personally don't think he has anything to feel guilty about, sure he will be devastated to see his Paro hurt but she is a child woman and hurt she will be but if this love story was ever going to go past the devotion stage this needed to happen.Paro is definitely going to take this hard. Rudra will be back to being harsh again as a defence mechanism for himself because he will know he has hurt Paro, seeing her distant from him will kill him, so to keep his pain at bay he will be rude. But he also will be struggling to keep a hold on Paro wanting the unconditional love she always had for him, you never know what you have until you have lost it. I can't wait to see Rudra's struggle in this phase, torn between pretending to not care and yet caring so much that it will be destroying him to see Paro drift away from him.
