Is having a duet in the theater round necessary?
i think eveything has a reason so yes.
Is it added to create more masala (love, fights etc)?
maybe not just so they can elminate some people 😆
After Idol ends, how many contestants sing duets?
not many 😛

duet round is necessary to find out how many more nakhde wali richas are there and how many gentlemen like prashant are there 😉

Is having a duet in the theater round necessary? I think it is very necessary .. Although this contest has only one winner but they can't be singing alone for the rest of their lives .. Esp, when some singers just live off of stage shows, it makes it all the more important to be able to sing with a partner ... I know now a days recording is done individually but stage shows and concerts are HUGE these days .. It will definitely be a plus !

Is it added to create more masala (love, fights etc)? There's always a flip side to everything ... So this is a flip side to singing duets .. But I dun think that it's always the case .. Since this is a so-called "reality" show they create the unwanted masala ... Which will die as the season progresses ...

After Idol ends, how many contestants sing duets? In my opinion almost all of them did ... Coz they went to so many different countries to perform ... And even if they didn't it gives them exposure to work with other people ... Creates the comfort level .. somewhat ... At least that's what I think ...

Duet round is important to see how much coordination is there between both two...and how well they can sing with someone else..

Solo songs might be hit coz there is no one to compliment on your voice.. but when duet is there.. and when both of them compliment each other the song really comes out well.. 😛

Well, if I remember correctly even in the galas there are times when they sing together as a group !!!! So, duet round is necessary, since if 2 people can sync well, then there's a very good chance that they may sing group songs well .... although group songs are not used in actual elimination, they are still part of the show !!!!!

I think it is like an interview, lol. Like someone asked in the theatre round what are you looking for? But i think maybe what they are looking for is already presented it is just how they react in those situations.
India's Idol should be:
Able to sing (obviously)
Ability to work with others
Ability to sing Live etc etc
Lol it's making me laugh thinking of it as a job interview.
