Well it's a very simple and straight forward poll, i just want to know whether anybody is interested in a story contest or not? You just have to vote for either "yes" or "no".
I don't want to organise the contest with only a few members participating in it, if the majority active members is interested i will organize it otherwise i will not.

The trouble is no one bothers to comment in story contests. I used to enjoy writing once upon a time when there used to be some 15 participants and everyone used to be so enthusiastic while writing. We used to have fun giving each other tension and competing while writing, saying 'I am going to get duo injured', 'I am going to bring a girl in Daya's life' and blah blah.

But of late no one bothers to participate or discuss. Some people just force themselves to read a few lines and then copy-paste what others have commented by changing a few words.

Some just say

Story 1 : Excellent attempt, very nice story👍🏼 -6/10

Story 2: Wow, what a story, loved it yaar -8/10

Story 3: Loved ACP's concern for Abhi. (someone else would have mentioned this in their review and this person simply copy pastes it without bothering to read the story) Nice story -7/10

(The people who have done this can ask her/his own conscience...and please realize as you read this post that I have caught you in the act a few times. As a CIDIan I am very observant. I don't post this on the story thread purely to avoid conflict)

I am sick and tired. Writing a story is no mean task. It takes a few days of dedicated effort. I am not willing to go thru this for such copy pasted comments and one-liner reviews. My answer is NO.

KKK, I appreciate your efforts. Don't take my comment as any anger towards you. It's towards the attitude of the forum members in general. I love story contests in the old form. But those days are over.

@Vis, but didn't you say that you will participate if atleast 10 people read and rate the stories in the No Murder Contest?? What happened?

I don't mean to deflate anyone's enthu...just that personally I didn't feel very encouraged by the response the last time I wrote for a contest. I think there were 6 contestants and some 5 voted. Even the participants themselves didn't vote. I was disappointed with some people (don't want to name any) who made it look like I am sitting idle without any work and they are the busiest people on the planet.

I was relatively free, say in 2012 but not now. I enjoy writing and if I am really motivated I will definitely make time for it. But unfortunately I am not feeling so after what I saw in the past.
