hi
quite a thought provoking question:
though in every epic its repeatedly said that one is blessed to have daughters but none of the major heroes actually have daughters . be it pandavas , kauravas , lord Ram or lord Krishna(10 sons from each wife all of whose names are mentioned...but any daughters names anywhere???)...none have daughters or its not mentioned. why???
maybe being a women in those times wasnt really a blessed life for the parents - i mean look at Uttara - married to Lord Krishna's nephew, still only 6 months of married life then lifetime widow and deliverd a dead child - she kindagot very raw deal in life!!
maybe thats why the Lords and others were not keen to have any daughters!!
