It has been a week since Qubool Hai season 2 started it's journey, with the same female lead as season 1, Surbhi Jyoti, and a newmale lead Karanvir Bohra.
In Qubool Hai season 1, Surbhi Jyoti (who was new to Indian television) along with small screen heartthrob Karan Singh Grover, won many hearts and their characters Zoya and Asad respectively, became one of the most popular onscreen couples of 2013.
Season 2 has started it's journey at a time when TAM ratings of the show have fallen. The show and it's current leads, Karanvir and Surbhi, now have the challenge of not only raising the ratings but also creating the same magic with their respective characters, Aahil Raza Ibrahin and Sanam Ahmed Khan, and their chemistry as Asad and Zoya.
The story has shifted to a village near Punjab after the 22 year leap. Dilshad is living with her 2 grand daughters, Sanam and Hayaa.Sanam looks exactly like her mother. She is very talkative like her mother and a cleanliness freak like her father. Her courage reminds us of her parents too.
While we have seen that Aahil Raza Ibrahim is a spoilt brat with attitude and very intelligent, his background and past is still a mystery.Aahil and Sanam's story is yet to start but their are signs that this couple too will be able to reach the same popularity with the youth audience. This is because actress Surbhi Jyoti is playing a character similar to Zoya, which th audience already loves. Karanvir Bohra has had a lot of success with negative and high on attitude characters with Prem in Kasautii Zindagi Kay and Viraj in Sauhagyawati Bhava.
The pairing of a talkative bubbly girl, and an angry young man has always been a great pull for audiences. In fact, all of producer Gul Khan's previous shows, which were all major hits with the youth for the lead couple's chemistry, had similar character sketches for the guy and girl.What remains to be seen is whether Aahil and Sanam will join the 4 lions hall of fame with Maan-Geet, Arnav-Khushi and Asad-Zoya. We certainly hope they will.
