Jai: do I have an option


Anu: 'I love you Mamaji!!!!!!!!' hugging him tightly

Jai: bas bas aab drama band kar but wait what are we going to tell everyone here?

Anu: kyun Dad hain na coverup keh liye as they both giggled looking at Adi

Adi left the study saying 'kahan phas gaya yaar'

Jai: aab chal, warna der hojayegi

Anu: Mamaji give me a sec let me go get ready

Jai: Anu five minutes…

Jai was pacing back and forth downstairs by the door, it had been more like 15 minutes she had been gone finally she showed up 'jeez Anu that was what two minutes you sure you're done'

Anu: I get it I am late, but now you're making us late lets go what are we waiting for

As they were about to go out the door

Jigs: Jai bhaiya

Jai 'bas yahi baki thaa' Haan Jigs

Jigs: tum dono kahin jaa rahe ho

Jai: haan actually hum hum

Anu: Mom Mamaji mujhe ice cream ke liye bahar lejarahe hain, right Mamaji nudging him with her elbow in the stomach

Jai: ouch

Jigs: kya hua

Jai: nahi haan icecream khane jaa rahe hain

Jigs: ice cream khane jaa rahe hain aaur woh bhi akele, sub chalte hain na aap rukiyeh meh subko bol ker ati hoon and she left to invite the clan

Jai: aab chal ice cream khilata hoon tujhe

Anu: aab kya kareen?

Jai: aab mein kuch nahi kar sakta aab toh bhalai issi mein hai ki chup chap ice cream kha le and wait till tomorrow to meet Bani

Anu: sulking now 'but I wanted to meet her now'

Jai: his heart melted seeing her like this he couldn't see her sad 'Anu its just a matter of one day now, and besides what can we do'

Anu: well you could call her over to the ice cream parlor

Jai: are you nuts

Anu: why

Jai: well for one she's probably getting ready to sleep look at your watch and its too late for her to come out alone to the ice cream place

Anu: aww Mamaji all protective of Mami huh soo cute pinching his cheeks

Jai: nothing like that its not safe I mean look at the time its 11

Anu: don't worry about it Mamaji I guess I'll just meet her tomorrow, but you better bring her tomorrow

Jai: deal

Anu: good then now time for some chocolate ice cream

Jai burst out laughing hearing chocolate ice cream

Anu looked at him kinda funny 'whats so funny? Why are you laughing'

Jai: kuch nahi bas ek baat yaad agayi the mention of the flavor reminded him of the time in Mauritius Kunal, Bani and Jai had gone for lunch and how he had ended up confessing his love for Bani to Kunal

He came out of his reveire as his family assembled by the door to go out and have some ice cream.

In NY Dixit residence

It was about noon and Kiran was upset as none of her kids had wished her for mother's day, Pia was no where to be seen and Kunal had not been talking to her much ever since Bani had left home.

She was sad her kids didn't remember to wish her, interrupting her thoughts the bell rang; opening the door she found a delivery man there with flowers

Man: Mrs. Dixit

Kiran: yes that would be me

Man: oh well Mam I've a delivery for you these flowers are in for you for mothers day; they were a dozen of yellor roses.

Kiran took them happily thinking it must be from Kunal

Coming in with the flowers she went up to Kunal's room

Kunal was surprised seeing her there 'aap yahan'

Kiran: Ma se itna naaraz hai ki phool bhijwa diye lekin wish nahi kar sakta

Kuanl: kaise phool maine koi phool nahi bhiwaye

Kiran: why are you saying that I've just got them and she showed him the flowers

Kuna: 'yellow roses his eyes went moist' Aap samajh nahi payi naa

Kiran confused

Kunal: hamesha se aapko peele gulab aaj ke din kaun deta aya hai mom

Kiran went blank no expression on her face

Kunal: yeh phool apki uss beti neh bheje hain jisse aap …. He stopped and just walked out

Kiran stared at the flowers in her hands pondering; throughout the day she couldn't help but think about the past couple of months.

Back to India

It was early morning, Bani was very nervous she had looked at herself a thousand times in the mirror checking her saare, she kept fidgeting with her pallu twisting it walking back and forth from her room to the main hall.

'Oh God, please let everything be ok, please let them like me, calm down ya right how can I comeon I'm about to go meet them for the first time' she was sweating with apprehension. It was still too early and Jai wasn't expected to pick her up for another hour and a half she had too much time on hand and for sure if she'd go nuts worrying so she decided to speak with her bhaiya

Ring Ring; Ring Ring

Bani 'please bhaiya pick up the phone'

It rung a few times more but there was no response. She put the phone down after leaving a message for him

Kunal called her back having heard her message

Kunal: hello

Bani: hi bhaiya thank god you called

Kunal: calm down whats up!

Bani: actually bhaiya aaj meh, aaj mujhe actually

Kunal: aaj tujhe kya?

Bani: Bhaiya Jai mujhe aaj ghar leja rahe hain

Kunal was very happy hearing that finally it was time and she was going to meet Jai's family which was long due.

Bani: I'm so nervous

Kunal: isme nervous hone ki kya baat hai, waise I don't blame you apni 'saas' se milne jaa rahi hai toh nervous toh hogi he na

Bani: yahan meri halat kharab ho rahi hai aaur apko mazak sujh raha hai

Kunal: between giggles nahi toh maine aisa kya kaha

Bani: don't talk to me

Kunal: ok baba I'm sorry but listen there is no need for my little sis to worry she is the best bahu they could dream of for that monkey

Bani: bhaiyaaaa aap bahut kharab ho

Kunal: laughing haan ab toh sirf Jai he accha hai, baki toh kharab lagenge he

Bani: Meri woh matlab nahi tha per why did you call him a monkey, he's not

Kunal: well he is, have you not seen his earsss

Bani: bhaiya stop it he's not a monkey

Kunal: ok ok I get it but you tell me when is the wedding?

Bani all shy now 'how do I know'

Kunal: then who knows

Bani: I don't know, meh rakh rahi hoon

Kunal understood her shyness so didn't ask her anyfurther and let her go 'take care and good luck'

Bani: thanks bhaiya love you

Kunal: bye sis

She hit herself on the head blushing, her talk with Kunal had eased her mind and she was a lot more calmer.

At the Walia Mansion

Jai was getting ready in his room 'shoot I'm late, uhhgrr that stupid Anu had to have ice cream late at night and because of her I couldn't get up earlier…Bani must have gotten ready so long back and God knows how much she must have tortured herself with anxiety.' Taking a final look in the mirror he stepped outside, seeing the coast was clear he rushed downstairs seeing if anyone was around he peeked by the last stair he didn't want to be stopped now. He was on a roll there was no one there running out he accelerated in his silver Aston Martin Vanquish to meet Bani.
