yeah i heard about that too,, maybe Geo network *ALL CHENNALS* get closed soon cuz of the Cases on them infact their are soo many cities and place in pakistan where geo has been already blocked..

EDIT: Ok just read about it on BBC news. I can't believe the government is actually backing this. I mean I knew freedom of press was pretty much non-existent in Pakistan, but this is ridiculous.

lol its better if geo gets banned completely, bcz then they won't over stretch their shows and i don't like geo serials in the first place. Most of them lack in direction with a good script. I like hum way better and to me gep news only seems to promote indian movies lol

i want them to ban geo ...like now 😭

most people said that geo is an indian channel and that some indian is controlling it and blahh blahh

they said so bcz geo promoted indian movies way to much showing thier opening and etc even in jung news they wrote that alcohol is good for u and all this is why it angered people

and the main reason geo was gonna be banned was that geo ne pak agents (or something related to that) pe ilzam lagaya tha!

I don't know anything about the channel being Indian, however Geo reporting on the ISI is 100% legitimate in that as a news corporation they have both the right and duty to report what they believe to be the truth.

They are reporting (or were reporting before they were threatened) that there's a strong possibility the ISI are responsible for Hamid Mir's murder. If there's no truth to this why is the government and army so adamant to shut the corporation down? The media shouldn't be gagged on political matters, it severely reduces the chances of justice being served. Pakistan doesn't have a free media and that's a massive problem and a huge part of the reason why the country is a broken state. When you have the government, army, and ISI, pushing propaganda and gagging or murdering anyone who tries to fight against the status quo, you forfeit democracy, and law and order.

first hamid mir is still alive. Freedom of expression comes with responsibility. Its not like that if u think someone is responsible, u start blaming them without proof for 15 hours and u r blaming the country's intelligence agency and army. This is height of irresponsibility. Let say , I think u r involved in a crime and I report it on live tv and show ur picture for 8 hours on live tv and thats too without a proof. How do u feel. And these geo group done this to pakistam army and isi. This is defaming of our national institutions. This is not the first time geo did such kind of irresponsible reporting. They even prove that ajmal kasab lived in some village of pakistan and he was not.
there is an audio type available. forensic analysis say it is not manipulated. In which hamid mir is talking with taliban to kill some isi and army officiers . Geo also showed some video of a person who said that attack on mehran base was planned by army after questioning the officials of geo said, "v showed the footage so tbat army deny it". What kind kf reporting is this? Isn't is a try to defame ur army. U better know that who tries to defame army of a country. A friend or enemy.
