Yesterday we saw those women who are supposedly belonging to high class take a dig at Paro. She quietly goes into the room followed by Rudra while they continue to laugh at her.
My point is why is such an unrealistic portrayal of different classes shown on TV?

Do you really see 40 yr old women laughing at a women just by looking at her clothes? Excuse me , they are not teenagers belonging to a hep school and a girl from a village just walked into their classroom. Its very much clear that she was wearing something different and it implied that Paro had come from a rural background. So if they commented on her clothing casually , it would seem realistic. But no the two women had to subject her to such ignominy.

They had neither heard her talk in her vernacular language nor did she do something that would cause the others to look at her disgracefully. I don't see how mature individuals poke fun at someone like that.

This is not the only time that such behaviour has been shown . Shows like IPKKND,Geet too had a similar track. I DO NOT intend to compare here. There could have been other shows too where a girl from a small town is made to feel awkward in an office.I name these two because i have watched the episodes. It seems really stupid and impractical to show members of an office (mainly women ) in trying to put the new entry in such a position. Just because she wears Indian clothes or because she wears Indian clothes which are a highlight from where they come from. They go onto humiliate her, berate her and try out tricks to kick her out. How lame can this get?
Its an office for gods sake.

All i wish to say is such tracks should not be shown. Maybe people talking about the girl is tolerable but taking a dig at her on her face and resorting to schemes to drive her out simply drives my head out. It is not pertinent behaviour in my opinion.

i know.. she tried to conceal it.Rudra sensed it and took that decision. How do you call her a gawaar in front of her husband and start sniggering?

Nice Post ! It did look somewhat unrealistic. Just to incorporate a scene where Paro looks much sophisticated and beautiful than all the city ladies, CVs definitely crossed the line of sheer logic. That could have been shown in a different way . And i would have loved to see her dress up in the orange saree/ ghaghra she brought along.
And another thing, Paro looked elegant , graceful and beautiful in the dress she was wearing before the party. I didn't think that it was a sign of the background she had come from.I know those clothes looked odd in a city backdrop but definitely not unsophisticated!!

I personally have never seen mature ladies comment on something stupid like the dress the others are wearing. you are right in saying that its more of trait of the young school girls rather than mature ladies!

Agree,, that scene was cringeworthy,, as soon as i saw that i just thought aloud that Mr Hedge really is an expert in writing such elitist scenes.. there was absolutely no need to evn pen down that ,, it didn evn gel with the situation anyhow,, neither did Rudra reprimand those women nor was Paro taken aback,, she simply accepted it and Rudra asked her to stay back,,
just by putting on the clothes in which one feels comfortable and is habitual doesnt make one GAWAAR...
i think the makers just wanted to bring that stark difference in the appearance Paro could adorn,, but they just crossed a line..
and here i was thinking that the CVs might put some stress on the Rajasthani culture and Paro gracefully representing it,, but oh the irony.. 😕

@bold.. she undoubtedly pulled the saree well.. now will they say? "humein laga tha gawaar hai par hamari jaisi ban rahi hai .. sachmuch gawaar hai"
they did cross the line..

i would nt be surprised if they say that !

the scene on rudra-paro's part was dealt well.. he himself did not know how to protect her from those words and looks.. they would be there throughout the party.. And paro is so novel to this place ,it would have been difficult for her to voice her opinion.. so she silently took those remarks..
