Agree with you they are amazing

They would butcher them, especially the ones with the fantasy element in it, which most of the ones i listed have.

For bollywood, fantasy is: Thora Pyar Thora Magic, Love story 2050😳🤢

@bold the fantasies you listed are pathetic lol. Sadly Bollywood can't do justice to them.

Actually the problem is Bollywood wants to be like Hollywood but that's not possible as bolly and holly works differently. The audience are different, everything is different. Instead of copying Hollywood, they should stick with original.

Miss those 90s movies

I use to be such a Bollywood addict..watched it every weekend. Watching Bollywood movies use to bring me so much joy..not anymore. I don't get excited to watch hindi movies anymore. There are certain films that excite me when I see the trailer but I end up getting disappointed when I watch it.
I rather watch American TV shows these days over Bollywood.

I don't watch any newcomer movies with excitement. Because all newcomers lack that charm.

Can we get 90s days back? I mean can our sweet adorable popular khans start doing good movies like they use to do in 90s ? šŸ˜†

I miss good comedy films...Priyadarshan made Hera Pheri, Hungama, etc. I miss those...even Anees Bazmee with No Entry, Welcome. They were funny. Now we're stuck with Rohit Shetty and Sajid Khan who try too hard. Queen was the funniest film I saw in a long time, but it's not a comedy film.
I miss masala films done right...the commercial potboilers with all the right ingredients. I don't enjoy this Southern remake masala. It's not my style...bring back the MHN's, Dhoom's...or heck I LOVE Amar Akbar Anthony to bits and pieces, and Sholay, and all.

As for romance, rom-coms...romance itself has changed. Most are just time pass films.

Agree I don't enjoy comedy movies or romantic movie like I use to. They don't make classics like AAA or mpk DDLJ anymore.

Yeah in past they use to make bad movies but they also use to make great movies. But nowadays there are more bad movies than good onces. And that's sad part.

Yes KJO sucks at melodrama now

I watch daily soaps now for that stuff

When I turn on a soap I hear

"Sonny slept with carly who slept with Jason who slept with Samantha who slept with Lucky who slept with Elizabeth who slept with nikolas who slept with Courtney who slept with Jack who slept with Alexis who slept with Sonny "

^No I think the ratio is more or less the same, it's just that the popular actors do the worst films. šŸ˜† The good ones are done by the folks people don't expect much from generally.
Today's romcoms...lol. Well they don't have actors who are good enough for them either.

Its still same... Its actually improved over years!
Saying 90s was better than 20s is totally shit... Lets take this into account... Approx 150 films must have been released each year in 90s. In other words totally of 1500 films released in span of 10 years. And how many of those are considered to be classic, great, entertaining, good cinema - Approx 100! Rest of films have been clearly Garbage, Rubbish and rejected by audience. And amongthe 100 films appreciated, 90% of films have been romance or masala comedies!

In contrast, we have audience who is willing to give chance to each and every film, each and every variety... Such diverse films come out to be hits. Yes still masala films and romance are top variety but thats what BW is all about... we cant just destroy bollywood. And also such films are only accepted when it has known Superstar present in it, say SRK or Salman.

And DDLJ wasnt considered a classic immediately after its release, it started to be refer as 'Classic Film' after years of its release
