What impresses you most in a debut ?

People make debuts all the time.

Acting..n confidence also
For instance I couldn't believe duggu made debut wid knph..or ranveer was not a delhi boy..dey were fab performances wid oodles of confidence. .even raj in lsd was good. .n amrita in aisha was truly a small town belle..

Well you are an actor, so it should be your acting that stands out.

For me there's nothing fixed. I might start liking a debutant for one reason and another for some other reason. You never know what clicks with you.

The hair, definitely the hair! 😆

I'm thinking back to BBB and Ranveer Singh right now. I think his acting, his charisma, and his dialogue delivery was impressive. I think Ranveer Singh is good looking, but that wouldn't have mattered if he didn't impress in other areas. And Ranveer probably had the last great debut for guys in recent times.

For girls, I'll use Sonakshi as an example because she also had a great debut. She's extremely pretty, but in Dabanng it was her acting and dialogue delivery that impressed everyone. And she was extremely confident. Now we know she's a total package.

But yes, both Ranveer and Sonakshi do have fantastic hair.

Honestly, if the debutant is no one belonging to BW then it impresses me a lot. It shows hard work and talent itself.

The last time I found a debutant almost flawless was Hrithik in KNPH. The crazy fan following after the release no other debutant after him could manage to gather.


I know relatives who named their kid Hrithik after that film. His posters sold like hot cakes it was madness!


Which other newcomer won the best actor awards for his debut performance? Only HR did. The guy looked great, danced amazing, had the body and did superb in action scenes.
