First of all hats off to the entire team Monali, Nagesh, Shefali, Satish K and especailly
what an awesome job for taking up such roles and that too not charging any moneyš š
Performance wise Shefali left most impact as a mistress who is in the field to get her daughter educated and keep her away from the brothelš šš¼
Then I really liked Moanli she did justice to the role yeah she was raw in few places but I guess being her debut movie and strong performance oriented role was a tough task to achieve. None the less she had that innocence in her face which a 14 year girl from a remote Ibrahimpatnam village hasā¤ļø
Satish Kaushik- Boy was I wrong about Nagesh casting him as a Reddy, being one I had my doubts but he portrayed a Telangana Reddy to the T, his body language and antics were bang on.. Also his portrayal of a pedophile was right on where one would feel their skin crawl when you see that sceneš
Nagesh was excellent in some parts as an actor but some parts were meh.. His couple of scenes where he hurts Lakshmi when she tries to run away and the scene where he hits Shefali were awesome where you feel like ripping his throat from the screenš
I have always felt that what ever Jyothi did to Chinna in the end should be the punishment for all the rapists and pedo'sš”
Oh finally Ram Kapoor-- This guy when given any roles does justice to it, he was great in the small role he was givenš
Rest of the cast was good toošš¼
Story wise it really is gut wrenching, knot twisting and what other similar synonyms can be inserted will be justifiedš But again this Kind have plot have been dealt with in the past like early 90's in lot of Telugu movies although not completely by itself, but as a small part.
Still kudos for the effort to bring out this nasty side of the societyš
Direction wise Nagesh K's Dor and Hyderabad Blues take the cake. With Lakshmi I felt that it was kind of dragged in parts, editing could have been better as I was bored in some scenes.
Somehow in the second half where they show court preceding's which pretty much took me back to 80's and 90's movies where they used to make complete mockery of the justice system, not sure if the situation is still the sameš but I felt this could have been dealt better.
