Heys guys some of you are new on this forum and some of you are new here so I would like you to read my fan fiction : Taste Of Freedom from start and tell me how you are liking it as it will end soon.

I am glad people are liking the concept and synopsis of the book...i have kept in mind the error that was pointed out to me previously and so I have tried to write in small fonts as well this time..this is my first ever attempt to write any ff so be generous with your appreciation and keep posting and commenting people!!!😊😊😊

CHAPTER: 1

Astha looked around in her room painted all in ivory white which was supposed to be your solace or private sanctuary but it turned out to be worse than a cell of a jail in last few weeks.She bid her king sized four poster bed farewell on which she hardly ever slept as she laid down on the small white couch for days and most of the nights.How naive could she have been ,Astha thought recalling their wedding when Shlok didn't even touch her when she was sitting nervously for the first time on the marital bed waiting for him and when he didn't come home all night a worried Astha called him at least dozen times . When he didn't return a single call Astha went out with his chauffeur and found him quiet drunk and passed out on his office couch. Astha brought him home and decided to confront him in the morning. Next morning when Astha tried to talk to Shlok about his behavior of last night who was still nursing his hangover he very easily brushed her aside.

A:I want to talk to you about last night.

S:What's there to talk.I mean we didn't do anything and normally people talk after they do something.

A:I am serious Shlok. What happened last night?Why didn't you come home last night and not any night but our wedding night?What were you doing so late in the office getting drunk?Why didn't you call me back?

S:Look you are being paranoid. I was just very tired and wanted to take some time off all this wedding drama and people who are continuously hounding me and so I went to office to get some work done.

A:Okay so why didn't you call me and whats up with the drinking?

Shlok had lost his patience and he grabbed Astha by her arm and cornered her to the bed and said in a deadly voice" What I do with my time is no business of yours wifey not now not ever.I am my own master and no one tells me what to do or how to behave.As for your anger I know what will cheer you up. You were mad at me that we didn't get to spend ou wedding night but that can be easily be solved right now". With that his mouth swooped on to Astha's where he vented all his frustrations and anger which made Astha lips almost bleed. When he didn't get any response from Astha who was just standing there shocked and almost broken he broke off the contact between them and stromed out of the room saying with digust" This is what you were complianing to me about?Thank god I didn't come home last night to this unresposive ragged doll."

A sob had espaced Astha's throat. She couldn't belive what had happened just now.This was not the Shlok she knew and who had swept her off her feet.That Shlok was so sweet, so patient and always eager to steal sweet kisses on her cheeks , nose and forhead but never like this he had touched her in this way or rather manhandeld her this way with rough touches and soul sattering kiss for the breif time they knew each other before or even after engagment.

But she had never suspected any thing...

Chapter:2

Holding her suitcase very tightly like her life depended on it, Astha very quietly threw the bag out of her bedroom window on to the lawn ,now started climbing down the sling she made out of the bed sheets which was supported by her balcony railing.When she reached the lawn, Astha rapidly started running toward the main gate without making any noise as to avoid getting attention of Agnihotri security personnel. With great effort Atha made it to the main road and started praying for an auto rickshaw to appear in the middle of the night.I have to get out of the city now before the Agnihotri's realize I am missing thought Astha.

She knew this was her last chance to escape her gilded cage in which Shlok had planned to keep her in.I can't let him win.I have to leave before he return from Mumbai in the morning pledged Astha.

"One ticket to Ahmedabad ,please"Astha finally said to the ticket conductor of the interstate bus after thinking carefully about where she was going and what she planned on doing after leaving her Hometown Pune which she loved.

On bus, Astha kept on recalling Shlok's behavior of last few weeks after their marriage.How he constantly insulted her in front of his family members, how rudely he behaved with her in private and how constantly he used to hurt her with his word and sometimes physically when he used to roughly held her in his arms against her will. She suddenly came across altogether a different Sholk than the one she married except ...except last night.

Last night he was so sweet and gentle.It was the same Shlok which she knew before marriage.HE very sweetly cradled her in his arm and gently lied her on his bed when Astha was sleeping on couch. Maybe that was because he came home drunk and in his drunk stupor he went on his knees and apologized to Astha for his behavior .

S:I am sorry for the way I have been behaving with you all this time.Please forgive me.I promise I ll change and be a better husband.Everything will change in 2 days time I promise."

A:What do you mean? What's going to happen in 2 days time?

S:Do you know you ask too many questions.I will explain it all to you later .But right now I just want to tell you that I am very grateful of you for not leaving me even though I treated you like a crap and I totally deserved it if you did.

A:Hey, I love you even when you treat me like a crap. I can't help it that I love you even when most of the time I don't want to and you don't even deserve my love. But hey you are stuck with me as I am stuck with you for next SEVEN births, so I can't or won't leave you even if I want to.

S:Promise?

A:Prominse what?

S:That you will never, never ever leave me.

A:Okay, Shlok I promise to Love and cherish you, in sickness and in health , for richer or poorer and haven to hold you till death do us apart.I will never leave you.

The next thing they both even didn't realise was happening when Shlok took a taste of Astha 's lips which was sweeter than honey and lost in the sensation of what was happening to them.Astha completely lost her self in Shlok's warmth and the hungry lust which she saw in Shlok's eyes for her. A moan escaped her throat before she realized that her body was welcoming this whole new sensation of Shlok's touch and for the First time in her whole life she wanted to be here, in Shlok's arm and heat which was engulfing her. She wanted this, Astha realized at that moment because her Shlok was back and he was holding her prciously like she was a tresure , his tresure.This felt home.

S:We should stop before something happen which you ll regret later.

A: Shlok, I want this. I want you as you want me and trust me I won't regret it later.Please touch me Shlok , touch me.

With a growl, Shlok lost all of his precious self control and all his mask of cool and calm Shlok" flew out of the window.He lunged at her like some one else possesd him and he started kissing here every where and every inch of her so sweetly that it surprised Astha considering how angry he looked and how tensed he became.

A: You know I have done this before once or twice but not with some one like you , you know tall ,athletic and all like this before so ...

Suddenly Shlok became still and a very furious expression crossed his face that Astha had to stop in mid sentence...

S:If this was a joke I don't like this kind if humour and If you were serious then pray to god I never find out with whom did this "once or twice" happened because I ll kill him.I mean it .I will make you scream and moan my name till I was finished with you here and now that you ll even forget about others or if they ever touched you.You hear me Astha. You are mine now and you ll always be mine. I don't care how many men were with but keep this in your mind now You will always be with me from now on so don't you dare ever be with some one else.

Astha was close to tears and she started regretting her riling Shlok like this.

A: I was just kidding Shlok. There was no one else before you and there never will be. Please forgive me.

Shlok relaxed slightly and kissed Astha on her lips possessively and said

S: I knew that baby. If I believed what you said to me was true you won't be lying here now calmly but I would have put you on your knees. Innocence was and is stamped on your forehead since the day we met. But don't kid around me like this or you ll come to regret it. I am a very possessive man remember and I don't share what's mine.

His words send a shiver down Astha's spine and even now she had goose bumps recalling his words and his icy expression.

CHAPTER: 3

Astha came back in present with a jerk when some one tapped on her shoulder. She very slowly turned terrified if the Agnihotri's got alerted or not. But she just saw a cute kid about 5 to 6 year of age asking her "Aunty why are you crying?"

"Nothing beta , I am just tired and hungry."Astha told the child with much reassurance.His mother just smiled at me asked "Are you going to Ahmedabad for the first time or you go there frequently?""No I am going there first time.I heard its a very nice city."Astha told her honestly."Its my hometown. We shifted here when my husband took a job here in Pune but I am visiting my Parents with Jay here as his holidays started."expianed his mother.

"Oh, that's great!"exclaimed Astha.

"So, how long have you been married?"

the lady asked with innocent curiosity.An alarmed Astha asked her" How do you know I am married or not?"

"You know even if you wash off your sindoor it takes some time to fade away and however best you try to hide your manglesutra it shows."

Astha looked away guiltily.

She recalled washing off any trace off Shlok from her body this morning but she forgot it takes times for things like this to fade away.I may took her forever to get over Shlok and his betrayal.

She can still feel the sting on her palm from where she hit Shlok on his cheeks. But he just stood over there like a 6'2" foot Adios look alike rock with no emotions and trance of feelings.

This morning when she woke , she found Shlok in the shower taking a really cold shower.

"Hey there dear hubby, good morning!" I greeted him by joining the shower and hugging him from behind.

"Cut it out Astha what do you want?" Shlok said word with vehemence pushing Astha away from him."What happened?Why are you behaving like this especially after last night. I thought everything was great between us."said Astha who was trying to hold back her tears.

"Well you thought wrong. Everything is not okay between us. And I am behaving this way because of last night so please don't bring that up." said an angry Shlok grabbing a towel and exiting the cubilcle.

"What do you mean? Do you regret what happened between us last night? But you said you need me in your life."Astha said following him out of the en suite wearing a robe.

"Well I was drunk and horny and you were available. I don't regret what happened but I was just disappointed by it. As for needing you ,Yes I need you but not for you but your stupid little farm."

"What are you talking about?"

"Oh, didn't your father explain it to you. No wonder he wasn't so trilled about you marrying me."

"No my father didn't say anything bout I would like to know the truth."

"Your father inherited a Vegetable farm in Charholi Budruk from your grandfather which now you stand to inherit according to your gradfather's will when you turn 25 or when you get married. After we got married it took some time for your father's lawyer to transfer the deed of farm to you which you will transfer to my dad tomorrow afternoon when I return from my trip to Mumbai. Am I clear?"

"You did all of this just for a stupid farm. You lied to me, you manipulated me and you tricked me into falling in love with you.How low were you willing to get that piece of property from me."

"Well, low enough I married you didn't I?"

Astha's hand flew to struck Shlok's cheek with out even her realizing."And you slept with me last night knowing all this. What's wrong with you?"Astha kept on hitting Shlok with all her energy on his arms, face where ever she could mange until she dropped on the floor crying till her heart became empty while Shlok just stood over there expression less.

Astha didn't know how long she lay down there on the floor because when she looked around Shlok already left.

Astha saw a note on the dresser with Shlok's immaculate handwriting.

"Be ready tomorrow morning waiting for me with out any drama my dear wifey.

Looking foreword celebrating my victory with you tomorrow night. -S"

An infuriated Astha tore up the note in million pieces and pledged in her heart "I ll see to it that you never get that farm, not with me alive."...

Chapter:4

"So Astha just left last night without any of you so called specialized ex-cops noticing? What were you all doing? Sleeping? I don't pay you salaries in lakhs for sleeping? I don't care what you do or how you do it but just find her. I want her here at any cost. Find out where her parents are what they are doing. Astha can't stay away from them for a long time and she will try to contact them." Shlok barked at his security detail when he came home this morning and found Astha gone.

"Sir, we are very sorry. We checked your room, she made a sling from bed sheets and escaped from the balcony of your room. She must be pretty desperate I mean motivated if she risked herself for escaping." Sudhesh Menon , his Chief of Security expressed his opinion which made Shlok growl at him " I don't pay you to state the obvious and expert opinion. Just tell me what you are doing to find her. I have to clear up this mess before Baba return from his trip to Kolahapur in 3 weeks. Keep me updated of your progress, I ll be in my study."

"Menon was right indeed. Astha must be pretty motivated' to escape him if she left in the middle of the night like this" Shlok cringed at the thought which left him sickened as he thought about the way he behaved with her these last few weeks. He was very careful with her in the starting, courting her and making sure she fell in love with him. For Shlok it was all a part of his plan and he made sure that Astha never find out about his charade and acted the way she wanted by saying all the right things and doing all the right deeds. But all of that threatened to slip from his finger by his one mistake. He has to correct what he has spoiled before Baba finds out what has happened. An evil smirk lit his face as he recalled what had happened at the Anniversary party before he made a public declaration of his love for Astha and his intention of marrying her in front of the whole world. He knew Astha loved him but wasn't confessing her love for him so he did what he knew the best and made a plan for her forfeit.

"Astha did you hear Shlok is marrying Sonia Oberoi. Are Sonia Oberoi the socialite and heiress to Oberoi group of Hotel and Spa. I hear they are worth millions. If Shlok marries her they both will become a super celebrity couple net worth billions and gazillions of Rupees..."Astha heard what Gauri told Astha as she kept on going about what powerful and beneficial relation this will be and how perfect they are for each other but not a single word registered Astha's brain as her heart was shattering into millions of pieces. "...I hear they both are family friends and child hood sweet hearts. They both denied it for a long time but finally succumbed to family pressures and their feelings for each other..."Astha felt as if the world was collapsing in front of her and tears were filling up her eyes."...You know I don't really pay attention to office gossips and all but..Hey, Astha what happened? You didn't say a single word this whole while. Is every thing okay?"

"Yes everything is fine. Everything is perfect. You are right Mr. Agnihotri and Ms. Oberoi will be perfect for each other. Excuse me but I have to call at home and inform Aai that I will be late so she doesn't wait up. I will meet you directly at the event I am going at the Arora site for inspection. See you later." Astha informed Guari as she left.

"You are looking very pretty in that saree." complimented Shlok from behind in Astha's ears while she was checking upon some last minute decoration which made her startled as she turned around and said avoiding his eye contact. "Thank you but you knew I was going to wear this saree as you only made it compulsory...that too only for me while everyone else can wear whatever they want. "Said Astha grinding her teeth and anger seething through every inch of her. "I knew you wouldn't accept this saree if I gave it to you as a gift. Look at me while I am talking to you Astha .Boy I was right... this is definitely your colour..."Shlok said grinning as if he just found out Unicorns does exist and stroking Astha's cheeks staring in her chestnut brown eyes . "Please Mr. Agnihotri excuse me I have to go check on the caterer." Said Astha brushing his hand off her and trying to escape his gaze which very pinning her to him.

Shlok grabbed Astha by waist and pinned her to the nearest wall. "You just don't walk away from me until I m finished talking to you. Do you get it Astha? Anyway what happened? Why are you looking so upset? Did anyone say anything to you? Just say I word and I ll fire him or her."Shlok said sounding sincere. "Leave me alone...I don't care about your stupid rules. I don't want to talk to you. I walked away because I can't bear to be near you and you don't get to say anything to anyone or fire him or her. Anyway people in the office think I am the s**t who gets extra attention by the boss as she is giving boss some fringe benefits and top it all if you fire anyone for me it will only add fuel to the fire. By the way why do you care if I am upset or not, it's not like it's any of your business so let me go and stay away from me."Said Astha venting all her frustration any trying to escape in vein from the steel like grip in which Shlok held her. "Too bad Astha that you can't bear to be near me because I plan to be in your life forever as you are mine and I am yours. Everything about you is my business and mine only...not even you can stop me from caring about you or if someone upsets you. It's all my business and I don't care about adding fuel to some silly office gossip and what people think about me." Shlok told Astha very calmly with such intensity that made her whole body hum.

"...I .. m hmmm...I can't be yours and you can't be mine. Did you already forget about your precious Sonia? I mean considering she is about to be your wife I would think you were serious about her but I was right you can never give upon your Casanova ways and settle down with one woman. I should have known you would flirt with me in the side while poor Sonia must be waiting for her fiance' to be with her... I mean how could you do this to her or as a matter of fact to me? What do you expect, marry Sonia while enjoying me in the side as your kept mistress? Does Sonia know that you are planning on straying before and even after marriage?"Suddenly Astha was free from Shlok's embrace as soon as she uttered those words and a heavy silence fell upon them and tension in the air thickened. Suddenly a hand struck Astha on her cheeks and she fell back with shock on Shlok's reaction as he growled loudly and plunged taking Astha's wrist in a vise like grip and uttering words like devil possessed "Don't dare call yourself my MISTRESS ...not now not ever..You understand me Astha? Don't belittle yourself and our relationship like this. We both know how we feel for each other so don't try to cheapen it with such words. What we feel is something special, you are special to me. Don't insult me ever by calling me Casanova because I gave that all up the day I met you and at that moment itself I decided to make you mine and settle down with you. As for Sonia, she is just a good friend and she needed me to partner with her for her upcoming retail clothing chain. We don't like other in that way although we have been thrown on each other our entire lives by our parents who would like us to get married."

"I am so sorry Shlok for saying or even thinking such things about you when I know you so well. Please forgive me "Said an apologetic Astha. "I am sorry too for hitting you so hard even though you deserved it. Although there is one silver lining here after all.. You were jealous of Sonia when you thought I was going to marry her, weren't you?"Said Shlok playfully with a cute smile plastered on his handsome face." No, I wasn't jealous of her I just didn't want to be with someone else's man." said Astha trying to save her face in front of Shlok.

"Does that mean now you can be with me and I can be your man Ms. Kirloskar? Does that mean you will marry me? " Asked Shlok with apparent love shining in his eyes. "UMM...mm Yes Mr. Agnihotri that exactly what I was saying" a laughing Astha said after fake thinking about it for a minute teasing Shlok with serious expression.

"You scared me there for a minute ...you minx...you wait and watch I do to you " said Shlok tickling Astha on her waist mercilessly and then catching her in his arms he swirled and twirled her in his arms up and down. "Shlok...ouch ouch...Please let me go...I am so sorry for teasing you..Just put me down...Put me down..." Astha said laughing and at the same time floating in cloud 9 as of all her dreams came true in one second." I am never ever letting you go Astha. You belong here right in my arms..."Shlok told Astha in an honest and determined tone.

And he planned on doing so even now as Shlok came back in the present he pledged on finding Astha and making sure she is where he wanted her to be...

"Sir, I have found a clue on Astha's trail. Someone at the Bus station recognized her as a girl who bought one way ticket to Ahmedabad last night. As for her parents they are still in Nagpur after Mr. Kirloskar was transferred there. I am talking to my contacts in Ahmedabad and sending a team there to look for her. You don't worry sir even if she is hiding in hell itself I will find her." Said Menon confidently. An expression of relief washed over Shlok's face quickly replaced by a mask of calm control as he vowed to take care of Astha as soon as he found her...
