CHAPTER: 13

"I know. Aai came to see and told me everything" said Astha shocking Shlok. "What did Mrs. Agnihotri tell you? Let me just say you should not believe her" said Shlok suddenly out of control, anxious to find out exactly what Anjali told her. "Oh, is it not true that a year and half ago you, Dada and Aai planned to take Niranjan Agnihotri down. She told me that she is not your biological mother and your biological mother was murdered by your And to do that you originally planned to marry me to get your hands on my farm to take revenge on your father. Or that you faked your love for me and married me under pretence without their knowledge. She also told me that what you didn't plan was to genuinely fall in love with me. And when you realised you that you gave up your plan for me and started to protect me. You switched to another plan. She thought if I knew the truth I can forgive you and we can both start a new life together. I guess you are. I should not believe a thing she said" said Astha with a slight quiver in her voice to which a flabbergasted Shlok replied half stuttering "I...hmm...it's all true. Although Mrs. Agnihotri should not have interfered between us. I did plan to marry you to get your farm. But I didn't plan on falling in love with you. I know that you probably feel I am trying to black mail you emotionally to reconcile with me but it's the truth."

"Tell me the whole story Shlok" said Astha taking a deep breath preparing to hearing probably the darkest secrets from the Agnihotri closet " A year and half ago Mrs. Agnohotri came to me and Dada with some files and some journals. The files were some old police reports and the original autopsy reports along with the fake belonging to a woman now I know as my biological mother Sanskriti.My ... I mean Niranjan married my mother Sanskriti for the same piece of land I married you. But before her father could give him the farm for dowry he sold the farm to your grandfather. This angered Niranjan and he became bitter towards herto a level where he treated her no better than an animal. He constantly hit her and used to beat the hell out of her so much so that I found her dried tears on the pages of her journals. She bore him two sons hoping he would change and treat her better but still his attitude towards her worsened and he tortured and abused her to a point that she was planning on leaving him with us but before she could flee he caught her and hit her so badly that she died bleeding out which we figured out from her journals where she wrote how she feared that he will kill her if he found about her plan to escape. And the worst part is I was a year old and Dada was three when this happened so we don't have any solid recollection of her or how she looked or talked. Mrs. Agnohotri found this in that SOB's safe. Turns out Mrs. Agnihotri is a battered woman who was being abused and tortured like my mother and she was only 19 when that monster abducted her and forcefully married her. She rebelled in a manner which she could by being an unemotional robot and behaving with us as an ice queen. And now I think of it cannot blame her for that, being 19 and thrust with a monster of a husband and his two unwanted kids. She helped me and Dada to get a closure and we are thankful to her for that. Continuing with the story I found the perfect plan to take a revenge on Niranjan..."

So sorry guys for an update after a month and half. I was stuck with exams and practicals but that's no excuse to leave you hanging. Also I want to thank all of you for patience with me and would like you to read and comment. Also want to gloat a moment at +11,000 views...I know today's update is a bit boring from romance point of view but necessary from story point of view.
