What about twins?

There are some possibilities. Samrat seems to have unprotected sex with other women. The baby may even contract aids because of the father's wayward behaviour.

no matter what the gender of the child would be, i want urmi to be kinda stern and strong and act against samrat, with trisha and urmi's mum as the main moral support. what's the baby's fault? that he/she is samrat's child? i think urmi should keep the baby, be it a boy or a girl but i'll be more happy if she gives birth to a baby girl. i know single moms raising their child solely. as trisha said, urmi's a educated and sensible woman, she can become independent on her own and raise the child on her own as a single parent.

Honestly if Urmi has a miscarriage, I would be fine but I definitely don't want Urmi to abort the baby because I don't think that the innocent child has any reason to die, but Urmi should make it very clear to Samrat that she doesn't need him to go forth in her pregnancy or raise her child.

Agreed with your whole post but mostly with the highlighted parts.

My choices would be:

1) Girl child - so that he hopefully wouldn't bother Urmi should she leave and decide to raise her without him as he doesn't like baby girl's
2) Boy child - but she leaves and Samrat never hears from her again
3) Miscarriage - absolutely last resort...but definitely no abortion

my choice - it does not matter whether it is boy or girl as long as it is a healthy child.
