Which planet do Urmi's family live on? I mean her Daadi, her father, Rashmi, are these people even living in this century, never mind on the same planet as normal people?
Every time Urmi's Daadi opens her mouth to reprimand Urmi and tell her to hang her head down and go back to Samraat, I feel like sewing it shut!!!

Poor Urmi, finally told them all exactly what happened to her with Samraat, not leaving any detail out, you'd think as her blood relatives (ok, Rashmi isn't, but she's still her brothers wife right!?! And what does this bimbo do, calls up Samraat to tell him that Urmi is preggers? She knows FULL WELL Urmi wants no part of Samraat and wants abort the foetus, yet she calls him like everyone's dancing and revelling that Urmi's pregnant!!!) would have some sympathy for her and know that she is not one to take anything impulsively or without careful consideration! I mean normal blood related people can't even stop tearing up if their loved ones are relating something like this and crying their hearts' out! Yet all these clowns can do is tell her to go back to the head clown!!!

I'm beyond disgusted right now. The only semi normal folks in that madhouse are her mother, Anu, Her brother and Bua-ji!

I really hope Rashmi's parents make a reappearance so Rashmi's mother can smack some sense into her. Her mother needs to admonish her for her Samrat praising and lack of empathy for Urmi.
I hope her mother finds out too that Rashmi orchestrated Urmi's return by telling Samrat if the pregnancy, and I hope her mother gives her a slap.

Not going to make a difference.. Rashmi really priced herself as samrat's cousin ! Don't you think?! X|

It hurts her ego to be wrong, she is guilty for being responsible for urmi's state. She doesn't want to accept her wrong or take blame, so she's trying to make all belief that urmi is being foolish.

The sad part is that there are many people like the "Clowns" you mentioned in this family all over India and some other parts of this world too.

Their Motto to live by has been "What will the Society say?"... "Our names will be dragged through the mud for this" "We will never be able to show our Clownish faces out in this world" ... blah...blah...blah...

These kind of people do not see the pain nor try to understand that daughters are not born to be sacrificial lambs to bullies and abuser of this world.

And again even after Urmi related all the awful treatment she lived with the RAT, her father still had the audacity to say just give me "Poison" then you can stay at home.

I was screaming at Urmi to say ...O.K papa , I will get the poison for you and the man I married. This world will be so much better and happier after people like you are gone from this planet.

This show needs to hurry up and get some progressive solutions to this ridiculous madness or it will lose their credibility of saying that this was going to be a different kind of show with a message.

Seriously I felt Urmi should forget toeing the line for once and say to her so-called father that no papa I will bring the poison and drink it myself. Its better to die like that than live with the devil called Samrat whom you now love and respect more than me. No father who loves his daughter more than his false ego would ask his daughter to return to the man who showered physical and mental abuses on her each and every day. But here the great papa almost balckmails her to return to that man. What a father!!! And mommy darling please don't cry for your daughter. If you really care then put your foot down and save your daughter from being tortured further and listen to her for once.
Urmi was crying and begging and describing each and every abuse and these stupid clowns kept staring and asking her to return. Poor Urmi to have got such families to deal with.

Urmi is stuck in same position that many women in india are - they may be in an abusive relationship but see no choice out of the situation. Divorce is taboo- they are told by their parents that getting a divorce will bring shame to the family - so just hang in there and face the music. What do you expect this poor women to do - especially if they are house wifes - they see no way out but to suffer😒

You are right in stating that many women suffer this plight in India. And all over the world too.

But this day and age one cannot stand by on old norms like... "Divorce is Taboo".
"What will society say ?"... These poor women as you have said may not be in a position to do anything out of fear and helplessness and that is where women have to get together and form and create safe houses for them to escape to where they can be looked after and taught to stand on their own feet.

There are NGO's and other charitable organizations that help in many cases. There is no need to let any human being that are treated badly to suffer in silence.

Accepting this kind of abuse and not doing anything about it should be completely Unacceptable.
Family members should stand by these poor women and not turn a blind eye to it all.
