" Mujhe tum mil gayye humdum, sahaara ho to aisaa ho,
Jidhar dekhoon, tumhe dekhoon, nazaara ho to aisaa ho."
Translation: Now, that I have found you, what greater protection will i ever need in this life. When I look around me, its only you that I see. What other spectacle could match your beauty?
Is Paro in love with Rudra?
NO.
Not yet.
Love is too massive an emotion and too huge a soul responsibility , so don't be fooled by its feather weight spellings in all languages. You may think that love happens all of a sudden and comes all of a sudden. No. Its not true at all. Before love walks into your life for REAL , it first tests you at prelims, it prepares you for what it is to bring along and it links all your threads to your soulmate one by one.
What Paro feels for Rudra is ATTACHMENT. The first defined emotion that begins your binding to someone else. And from where does attachment come? From bonding, compassion., vulnerability , an emotional symbiosis. You start depending on each-other and from here, the seed of attachment is born.
Paro had only one cold wall against Rudra to stop her emotions from following the course that they wanted to. And that cold wall was the pseudo hatred and the animosity excuse that she held against him. Behind that, she had always felt connected to Rudra , she had felt sentiments of mercy, warmth and gratitude for him. Now, that wall and that animosity is gone . Her heart is free and so is the waterfall of her emotions. Now, they they can go where they want- they can evolve for Rudra as they want - they can take any route they like because they are free.
And that is what is happening. Paro is white, transparent , virginal and flawless. She only understands the honesty of emotions and honesty of one's integrity. When she sees how hard Rudra has fought to keep her alive, when she recalls how he fought against her and bore her hatred to keep her breathing , when she sees him struggling like a rabbit in a lion's skin, when she sees him defenceless and vulnerable , when she sees his once intense eyes cold-shoulder her- well, then, her heart shifts uncomfortably in its place and taps at her reflexes and says - Please do something about it.
So, she timidly goes into Rudra's den, hovers around him like a confused but stubborn bird , checks his moods on her Rudra specialist shade card , and then, goes back to plan the next nightingale song that will restore Rudra in her life.
Paro , someone who has never felt any real emotion for a man as a woman is completely unaware in her conscious mind that just why she wants Rudra to be returned to her. She is oblivious to the reality that her physicality, her soul, her mind, her heart are beginning to sit in perfect sync with Rudra. She doesn't mind dozing off calmly as Rudra sleeps in her lap. He moves a little and gets scared in his dreams, she wakes up, ruffles his hair gently and cooes him back to sleep. She has no qualms in telling Rudra the next morning that its him who asked her to stay with him last night. She is more worried about his wounded hand than his anger and his Thakurain Sa questions. She cares two hoots about his temper when it comes to his basic care and nurturing - something as basic as food. Rudra's rudeness and anger are just not registering with her anymore. She is in her own pretty web of thought where she is isolated from his temper's heartburn and is only concentrating on winning his trust, forgiveness and him back in a supersaver package.
And you know what this means?
This means that you care about someone a little more than you care about yourself. That for you someone's embrace is more important than all ego, logic, pride and " you did this" and " i did this". That you are willing to go an extra mile just so that you can find that special one sitting on that milestone and asking you what took you so long to reach him/her.
Paro doesn't love Rudra yet. But she is standing at that door, with the key in her hand. She is twitching her fingers, making babyfaces , wondering if she should go in. She wants to go in but is scared that the soulmate on the other side of the door may not want her. However, her resolve and her pull is greater than her fear, so she is walking towards that door with the key in her hand. Wary of the lock, scared of the person's answer behind the door. But determined.
Today's episode's best scene was the temple scene where you see Paro ask such innocent questions about Lord Shiva and Maa Parvati. She is being told the holy story of universe's greatest soulmates and she is fitting herself and Rudra in its earthly interpretation... without a single ounce of realization that in what context she is thinking of herself and Rudra.
Don't believe me? Watch her run towards Rudra in the last scene. That face , that graceful and urgent run was not of a woman seeking forgiveness from Rudra. No. That run was of Paro seeking Rudra.
Having said that, if only our innocent Paro knew that her test is not to make Rudra forgive her unconscious mistakes . Her real test is to separate Rudra from the horrors that Maala left him with. Her test is to keep her promise to Rudra that she will not leave him. Her test is to make Rudra bellow to the world one day that Paro is Paro. Not a shadow of Maala. That she is Rudra's Paro , who will always be with him.
Twist in the tale or call it a twist in the writer's brainwave. Paro is taking steps towards Rudra and he is receding away from her at an alarming speed.
Rudra kitnaa gehraa aur Paro kitnee maasoom.
Well.
