My take

the not entering mandir , kitchen r NOW . After she took a decision to leave . Had she stayed back at that time Kokila would have just stopped talking to her on a private level , taken retirement from house managing as she has , not prayed to God on a private level .

From her view , not only did Gopi cause the fatal accident partially , she also chose to leave . To top that she did not inform them of the second pregnancy . For 8 YRS .

Now her anger has increased .

Had Gopi stayed on and handled her private naraazgi Kokila would not have interfered in the daily chores of Gopi , she would have restricted to not forgiving her privately bas .

But there was zero level of tolerance of private grudges from sensitive Gopi's side who preferred to walk away after one blame .

One thing that also came to my mind - Gopi leaving eight years back may have indicate to Ahem and Kokila that she accepted her guilt, so that also have fostered their hate. During crises like this, if a blamed person leaves without any explanation or defense, it is often construed as their accepting their crime. Gopi should have stayed back and defended herself. She did not utter one word of defense and instead just left. Had she explained what happened and told them that she did not take Meera to the bridge, she found Meera lingering there and went to get her, and slipped in the process, Ahem and Kokila may have been able to see clearly once their initial grief subsided, but by running away, it looked as if Gopi accepted the blame they threw on her.

Whatever anyone may say, her leaving did more harm than good, both for herself, Vidya, and the Modis.

And one more personal observation

she left on her own , was not driven away . People r saying she should show strength etc now but as i see it she showed it , if it is called strength , long back . She chose to walk away after one blame , not remaining to hear anymore was her choice . That is a strong choice . She did not even come back crawling but was forced to by the kids . She still does not want to stay or even acknowledges the father has a right over the child but says Meri Bachi and i will take her away and probably bring her when she is bigger , thats all u guys can expect . Where is the weakness in this . I fail to see it . It is what the modernists of today would equate strength with . So i am slightly surprised at the bechari Gopi posts in the forum coz as i see its bechara Modis . They had no choice , their choices were taken away and forget apologising , it is being re iterated that they can have access to the child when she is bigger .So father should miss out on the whole grown up process and be quiet and not angry ? What a feminist thought process if one sees it 😆 .

Couldn't agree more. Unfortunately, so many people believe a mother has more right over the child than the father. Feminists cry for equal rights, but what they really want is for women to have more rights. What is the difference then between them and chauvinists?
