…for a special promotion of Balaji's co-production, Shoot Out At Lokhandwala; other actors from the film may follow suit
Balaji Telefilms and White Feather Films have come up with a unique concept to promote their next film, Apoorva Lakhia's Shoot Out At Lokhandwala.
For the first time, two leading stars of the film, Sanjay Dutt and Sunil Shetty, will appear on the small screen playing their on-screen personas in Balaji's Kasamh Se (Zee)!
Says Ekta Kapoor, "Sanju and Sunil will be coming together on Kasamh Se, as it's one of our popular shows. We will present their entry on-screen with huge drama.
It was Balaji's idea to have these two big stars in the serial. The reason we did this is to promote the film through a huge medium. Kasamh Se too will benefit from big stars appearing in it."
Will other Shoot Out stars also appear in other Balaji shows in the coming weeks? "I am not saying anything on that yet," says Ekta, not ruling out this possibility altogether.

Sanjay Gupta, who has just returned from location hunting for his next film, Alibaug, says, "Shoot Out is Ekta's baby and she will go all out to promote it as and where she can.
We aim to involve all the actors in Shoot Out in various TV productions by Ekta.
Sanju and Sunil will be playing their police characters Khan and Kavi in Kasamh Se."
Dharam Oberoi, one of the directors of White Feather Films, says, "I got a call from Ekta's office saying that they want the five gangsters in Shoot Out (played by Viveik Oberoi, Tusshar Kapoor, Rohit Shetty, Shabbir Ahluwalia and Aditya Lakhia) to come on one of their shows before the film's release on May 25.
They wanted Sunil and Sanju for a separate episode, which will be shot at Sankraman Studios in Goregaon. We are working out some details regarding the dates of the actors and how they will be presented.
This is the first time White Feather Films has done this kind of promotion and we are very excited."
What's Shoot Out At Lokhandwala about?
The film is based on true life events that occurred in Mumbai's Lokhandwala Complex in 1991.
The plot revolves around ACP Aftab Ahmad Khan's encounter of five members of Dawood Ibrahim's underworld gang and the story behind these events.
Khan (Sanjay Dutt), along with 200 other cops, surrounded a building where gangsters Maya Dolas (Viveik Oberoi), Dilip Buwa (Tusshar Kapoor) and others were hiding and opened fired in a gun battle that lasted six hours.
Dolas and Buwa had made extortion the buzzword in the early '90s and even had a falling out with their mentor, Dawood Ibrahim, drawing the attention of Khan and the newly-formed ATS squad.
Khan's fight later went beyond the encounter as he faced inquisition from his own department and legal charges of human rights violations.
