'STAR PLUS - STAR PARIVAAR (POLL)' RULES

"STAR PLUS - STAR PARIVAAR (POLL)" ("Poll") will be held on STAR PLUS ("Channel") as stated hereunder:

PART A - PRINCIPAL TERMS

1. The Poll shall commence from April 27th, 2007 at 19:00:00 hours upto May 10, 2007 at 23:59:59 hours on the Channel.

2. On Air Promos shall be telecast on the Channel wherein each viewer(s) will be asked to vote for one of their favorite
i) Elder i.e. Buzurg and/or
ii) Child i.e. Chhota Bachcha and/or
iii) Newcomer (Female) and/or
iv) Newcomer (Male) and/or
v) Mother i.e. Maa and/or
vi) Father i.e. Pita and/or
vii) Daughter i.e. Beti
viii) Son i.e. Beta and/or
ix) Brother i.e. Bhai and/or
x) Sister i.e. Behen and/or
xi) Sister in law i.e. Bhabhi and/or
xii) Younger Brother in law (husband's younger brother) i.e. Devar
xiii) Wife of younger Brother in Law (husband's younger brother) i.e. Devrani and/or
xiv) Wife of elder Brother in Law (husband's elder brother) i.e. Jethani and/or
xv) Husband i.e. Pati and/or
xvi) Wife i.e. Patni (wife) and/or
xvii) Mistress i.e. Saut and/or
xviii) Villain i.e. Khalnayak and/or
xix) Father in Law i.e. Sasur and/or
xx) Mother in Law i.e. Saas and/or
xxi) Daughter in Law i.e. Bahu and/or
xxii) unmarried couple i.e. Yogya Jodi and/or
xxiii) Couple i.e. Jodi ("Categories").

3. The viewers interested in casting his/her vote for the all Categories, could either SMS or log on to www.indya.com or avail the voice services ("VS").

4. The viewer would have to follow the steps stated below to cast their vote for each Category:

4.1 All Categories

4.1.1 SMS- The viewer must SMS "Award" to 7827. Thereafter, the viewer would get an SMS which would set out all the Categories. On receipt of the aforesaid reply SMS, the viewer must select the Category for which the viewer wishes to cast his/her vote and finally reply to the aforesaid SMS by voting for their favorite person (cast). Viewer(s) must vote for only those categories or the person listed in the SMS.

4.1.2 VS -Viewer (s) to participate via VS the viewer must call :

(a) 505 7827 28 if they are Airtel or Hutch or Spice subscribers or
(b) 12 7827 28 if they are BSNL subscribers; or
(c) 1234 and say "STAR Parivaar" if they are subscribers of Reliance.

Upon calling on the above numbers, the viewer(s) would be provided instructions to select the Category which they wish to vote and the person(s) within that Category they wish to cast their vote. The viewer must hear the instructions and follow the instructions very carefully to avoid being disqualified from voting. Viewer(s) must vote for only those Categories or the person informed to the viewers during the call.

4.1.3 Logging to www.indya.com and following the instructions stated in the website. The viewer(s) must vote for only those categories or the person listed on the website.

4.2 Favorite couple i.e. Favorite Jodi:

4.2.1 Voting by calling on the number 1904 424 2222 and on reaching the number dialing either: (This is only available for the favorite Jodi category)

01 for Kavya and Anjali
02 for Dev and Pammi
03 for Karan and Nandani
04 for Sumeet and Kumkum
05 for Bajaj and Prerna
06 for Om and Parvati
07 for Mihir and Tulsi
08 for Gautam and Priya

Only the viewers who are subscribers of landline operator's BSNL or MTNL shall be able to participate in the Poll to vote for their Favorite couple i.e. Favorite Jodi. The viewer(s) must vote for only couple listed in this clause above.

4.2.1 Logging to www.indya.com and following the instructions stated in the website.

5. The cost charged to the viewers by the operators (mobile operators for voters under category 5.1 and landline operators for voters under category 5.2) will be as follows:

5.1 For SMS: Each SMS shall be charged by the respective mobile operators at rate stated herein below:

Rs. 3: Aircel, Idea, Reliance Infocomm, Spice Telecom, BSNL, Tata Indicom , Airtel

Rs. 2: MTNL Delhi (Pre paid), Reliance Telecom, Hutch, BPL.

Rs. 1: MTNL Mumbai, MTNL Delhi (post paid).

5.2 For VS:

Rs. 6 to subscribers of mobile network operators Airtel, Hutch, Spice.
Rs. 5 to subscribers of mobile network operator BSNL.

5.3 The cost of calling from BSNL or the MTNL landlines shall be Rs. 2 pulses per call.

5.4 The cost of each SMS or VS or landline (as the case may be) shall be charged by the respective operators. Neither STAR India Private Limited (STAR India") nor the Channel shall be responsible in case of any network problem and/or the costs charged by the mobile or landline (as the case may be) operator. Any dispute in connection to the same shall be settled directly between the subscriber and the landline operator without involving STAR India and/or the Channel.

6. It is expressly stated that this is simply a Poll to enable the viewers to choose their favorite stars or the couple(s). Therefore, there shall be no winners declared or Prizes distributed for this Poll.

PART B - GENERAL RULES

1. STAR INDIA or the Channel reserves all rights to make amendments to the existing rules without prior notice.

2. The voter(s) of the Poll agrees that he/she shall hold harmless the Channel, STAR INDIA, its employees, officers or any other person in relation to any injury/damage/harm/loss suffered by him/her, in any manner, whatsoever in connection with the Poll and shall also not file in person/ through any family member and/or third party any applications, criminal and/or civil proceedings in any courts or forum in India against the sponsor and/or the Channel and/or STAR INDIA to claim any damages or reliefs.

3. The Channel and/or STAR INDIA is in no manner whatsoever responsible and/or shall not be held liable in any manner whatsoever, for any injury, death, mental trauma caused to the voter in any manner whatsoever, in connection to the Poll.

4. Employees of the Channel, STAR INDIA, and the members of their immediate family, persons with criminal convictions, persons other than citizens of India, are ineligible to vote and be part of the Poll.

5. The participation of the viewer(s) in the Poll shall mean that the viewer (s) has read, understood, accepted and agrees to abide with all the rules including the general rules of the Poll.

6. The outcome of the Poll/the decision made by the Channel and/or STAR INDIA regarding the Poll shall be final and binding on the viewers and in no event shall the viewer/voter dispute the decision made by STAR India, Channels and/or its employees in connection to the Poll.

7. The terms of this rules and regulations shall be construed in accordance with the laws of India and incase of any dispute or other matter arising in reference to the Poll shall be referred to a sole arbitrator appointed by STAR INDIA and shall be governed by the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, amended from time to time. The venue for arbitration shall be Mumbai, in English language.

dats coz they r takin SMS... n jitna chahe vote means... more votes..more money for them😉

i have voted for him many times i think we can able to vote only once from our mobiles but from india .commm we can vote as many times 😊 as possible

ya tat's 4 sure, but i read rules it is not written nywhere tat we can vote only once otherwise they cd block the web after one vote. i saw this in SaReGaMaPa. there they block the web after one vote but if we try after 30 minutes we cd vote 4 more😃. here i think people r mis leading us. i m voting since morning🤢

i have vote for him many many times and i get help from my bro he always say this is boring 😆 but still he do wat i say 😉
