Holla! I have officially welcomed myself in the Zaya dreamland. I have been stalking this forum for a (kind of) long time, and now I have finally decided to make myself known. With this crap. Way to make a first impression, isn't it? 😆

Her heart stopped. Sweat formed in her hands, and even though she hadn't turned behind, she knew something horrible had happened. She closed her eyes. Not him. Please not him. She opened her eyes, slowly turned around and froze. There was a man lying on the street, his forehead and hair was covered in blood and his right hand was twisted in a very sickening way.
Zain.
She would later wonder why had it taken such a long time for her brain to register that fact. She would also wonder that why hadn't she beaten the hell out of the creepy, dark eyed man who had hit Zain with his car and had smirked at her.
But now, nothing like that was on her mind. Her blood had run cold and she was frozen there while a crowd had formed around her husband while he lay there like a...
Dead body.
That thought horrified her. But that thought was also enough for her to start moving her legs and run like a crazy and insane woman. We weren't even more than fifty meters apart, she would later think. But right that minute the distance was so long that she thought would never reach there.
In time.
She tore through the crowd and stopped when she saw Zain's face. She couldn't suppress the sob that broke through her when she saw him. Not only was his forehead scarred, but there was also many other wounds running along his face. She knew that he would have a fracture when she had looked at him from there, but looking at it closely she knew it would be a very painful one as well.
She slowly slid down and held his hand, checking for a pulse. There was one. Not very strong, but not very weak either. She almost jumped in joy. "Zain!" She shook him to try and wake him up. Again, she would later blame that on Zain for looking like a broken doll and her mind for not working properly. Like he would miraculously wake up.
Which is exactly what happened.
Slowly, but she surely she saw his eyes open, darting around frantically and trying to figure out what happened. When his eyes rested on her, he let out a relieved sigh which quickly turned into a wince as the pain finally hit him.
"Aliya?"
"Shh. It's okay." "It most certainly was not," was something she would tell him later, but right now they both needed to hear that lie.
Needed to believe that lie.
She put her hands behind his back and carefully lifted him in a sitting position. "You had an accident." She answered his unasked question. "I knew that. I am not as foolish as you are," was something he would retort while Aaliya would just smirk at him.
"Achaa?" Zain used his uninjured arm to scratch his head and pulled a face when he saw blood on his hand. "Car pe dent toh nahi laga?" He joked to lighten the air.
Aaliya had later felt that she should have slapped him for saying that, but that time she had been so happy that Zain was alive that it had blocked all her rational thinking and she had did something she never thought of doing. She hugged him. Tightly.
"I thought I had lost you Zain."
She buried her head in his shoulder. She wondered whether he would push her away. "Never," he would always tell her when she had thoughts like that. And when Zain put his uninjured arm around her, that doubt vanished.
"Good. I don't want you troubling yourself with thoughts like that. I love you," Zain would say, giving her a hug.
But those three words weren't going be uttered for some time. So, for now she just enjoyed the felling of being close to Zain Abdullah.
Because that moment, Zain was alright and she was in his arms.
And that was all that mattered.
