I missed this thread somehow. Just now a friend informed. Sorry for delayed response.
So, here we go.

Though I have NOT seen JA movie very minutely.🤓

But if i remember correctly, in the movie, Sharif was shown staying in the Ajmer Fort in Rajputana. And, as per the movie the time-period was 1562-63.

But as per Mughal accounts, Akbar constructed this in 1570. 😉
So, how come Sharif reside there in 1562-63 itself, as per movie.?.?.(when even the palace was not there..!!...)


Hope this cleared some air. Though i am NOT sure of movie.


Sharif was subedar of Mewat in Rajputana.
One more thing.
Even though Adham Khan was ALSO a subedar of Malwa, BUT he also stayed in Agra.😊
So, if Sharif stays here then this should be fine.!.


As discussion of this fort/palace came. Then, let me mention another event.

From this FORT only Jahangir gave the farman to East India Company for trading rights.

And in this fort Jahangir received Prince Khurram after successful campaign against Mewar.

Did Jalal take away SD's subedari when he was punished and then return it when he was freed from jail? Or was SD's subedaari never taken away?

SD may stay in Agra in normal circumstances. But when Mewat was being attacked, why didn't JAlal send him to Mewat to subdue the attack?

I am only talking of the show, not what happened historically.

Perhaps his subedari was taken away when he was put in jail.

And right now he is free.
No job assigned to him.
May be that's the reason he did not go to Mewat.

I remember this much from the show.
