She continued looking at him, in awe, until she herself fell asleep. It had been an hour, since his head was on her shoulder, but she didn't mind it. Instead, she fell asleep herself. Funny, but true. Even she was tired. She hadn't done so much of household work in like ages. For everything, her kaka used to be there, but this time kaka was not there, and only she and Swayam were present at her place. And, since she wanted to spend time with him, she had to help him. She wanted to do everything that appealed to him. This time it was staying in the kitchen, and she had no other option. She had to admit that it was fun. Household chores were fun, according to her. She would have loved to do something else in the kitchen, but for now, she was tired.
She didn't rest her head on him like he had done, instead rested her head on the wall and slept peacefully. She didn't know herself how she had gone into a deep sleep, until she regained her senses, which was after a long time obviously.
It was 12 pm when he woke up and realized that all the time he was resting his head on her shoulder. He was naturally embarrassed. More than embarrassed, he was shocked that she hadn't uttered a word about it, nor did she try and wake him up. He smiled sheepishly as he got up from the ground and looked at her. She was sleeping comfortably on the ground. She fidgeted twice in front of him, making him understand that she was feeling a bit uncomfortable there. Obviously, Sharon Rai Prakash was definitely not used to sitting on the ground for such a long time.
She looked so cute, he thought. She was getting restless with each passing second. His sleep was done, and he felt extremely fresh, but he didn't want to disturb her.
He knelt beside her and kept gaping at her in awe. Thoughts of the last two hours came gushing in front of him. The time spent with Sharon, the fun they did, the way she called him born perfect, he could see everything at once. How special it had been for him, he didn't know about her, but as far as he was concerned, he felt really nice, actually better, on seeing her so candid and warm with him. Even after so long, that is. He felt nice, on seeing her open up. It was a good feeling.
She unknowingly turned towards him, her eyes shut, and a lock of hair came on her face. Without hesitating, and the smile still intact on his face, he tucked the lock of hair behind her ears, and sure enough she didn't budge after that. Instead, a slight smile appeared on her face.
He got embarrassed yet again as he saw her smiling. He found it really cute and adorable. He didn't really want to leave her place, nor did he want to wake her up, since she was in deep slumber. He wanted to let her sleep peacefully, for a change.
Another budge from her side made him realize that she was actually feeling uncomfortable there.
Yes, he did think twice. He was not even sure of how she would feel, but he had to eventually give in. He was hesitating a bit initially, he had to agree, but then what wrong was he going to do? She felt comfortable around him, and then what was the problem? Nothing right?
But still.. His heart retaliated... She's Sharon...
And the same Sharon likes you. His mind said.
Still?
Obviously she does. Isn't it obvious? You were with her for a long time dude. Help her now. She's feeling uncomfortable.
He didn't know how to proceed, really. He looked at her. Yes, she was in a deep sleep.
He slowly bent forward, and picked her up in his arms. Her petite figure was now in his arms. He got up, with her in his arms and carried her to her bedroom.
He tried not to be too harsh or hurt her in any way. He placed her on her bed slowly and tiptoed out of the room, stealing one last glance at her.
I love you Sharon. And I love spending time with you. Have a good sleep. He muttered under his breath. A crescent formed on his face.
He closed the room and made sure to leave a message for her saying that he had to go because of some work. He couldn't stay that for more time, surely no.
Yes, he did enjoy the morning with her. It was real fun and something entirely new according to him. He couldn't help but smile as a reel played in front of him. Those moments were indeed memorable. He was going to treasure them for life.
Sharon was sleeping, but she was not in such a deep sleep to not notice Swayam carrying her in his arms and taking her to the room. She got up and walked towards the door as she saw his retreating figure walking towards the front door of the house. She turned a deep shade of pink as she looked at him going out of the house. She blushed, as she thought of him carrying her in his arms and her planting a peck on his.
She hung her head in embarrassment and believe it or not, she just couldn't get enough of him. She wanted to spend more time with Swayam , because she loved it. She just loved spending time with the person she loved the most. She wished he hadn't left.
And then flashed through her mind, all the awkwardness that they had been going through. They were not supposed to be a couple; they could never be friends... They were just two people who loved each other a lot, but hadn't confessed to each other... Sharon couldn't really help it. With her asthma creating troubles, and Swayam's life becoming complicated, she had no other choice. She really had no other choice, since she wanted to keep Swayam's life proper without any complications. Although she had promised to herself to help him overcome all the problems, she was not sure herself of the same. With her life full of problems as well, how could she remove all problems from his life?
You are thinking too much Sharon. A voice echoed inside her mind.
Maybe she was thinking too much. With Swayam and Sharon together, not in that sense, but together as in, battling stuff together, nothing was impossible. Not even this, and even now, in some corner of her heart she knew that she and Swayam were very soon going to remove all the problems from their lives and come together...or maybe do a fresh start with each other...
How she loved it when Swayam smiled due to her. It was pure bliss.
She moved out of her room and saw Swayam's note. She picked it up and read it. "Had some work, hence I had to go urgently. Thanks for the lovely breakfast. Had a great time today. :) Swayam."
She knew it was Swayam. She had never seen anyone else with such a clean handwriting and she could say the last two sentences were straight from his heart. She smiled it and kept the note safely.
Swayam reached his home safely. He was not sleepy, neither hungry, but extremely happy and contented. How he wished to stay with her all through the day, but it would result in further awkwardness between him and her.
Suddenly, his phone vibrated. It was a message, from her.
"Thanks for the lovely breakfast." It read. "And thanks for making me rest on the bed. It was needed. :D "
Swayam smiled sheepishly at the last two words... So she knew it was him, and she still didn't budge, neither did she try retaliating. It was good. He wondered what her expression could have been.
Not knowing what to reply further, he sat on his bed and ruffled through his tousled hair, embarrassed.
