Her instinct to call Rudra, with the blind faith that he will set things right ... sidetracked and blindsided by Mohini's cleverness ...
Mohini is actually scared of Rudra ... if he gets to know what they have been up to, she and Sumer are dead meat. And they need to get Maithili back, she is the bahu of the house.
Mohini thinks fast on her feet ... first she checks what exactly Paro heard, and then spins her cover story ... while Sumer banna wonders what his mom is doing now! š
Mohini also knows Paro very well ... that she just needs a slight push, and she will offer herself as bali ka bakra. And she gets rid of the threat of Paro's insistence to involve Rudra by making sure Paro overhears exactly the wrong part of his conversation, and none of her own red herring words. Thereby reinforcing Paro's low opinion of him as Jallad, who doesn't care about his family. His extended family, that is. š
Nice to hear Rudra's first words ... 'Paro theek hai?'
Good that the writers kept his appearance brief, not enough to overtire him, and yet used it well to reinforce Paro's prejudice.
*sigh* at this rate Paro is never going to revise her opinion of Rudra! š²šš
Dilsher and Danveer both blast Mohini for allowing Paro to go with Sumer ... but the deed is done. Wish they had probed deeper into how Maithili was kidnapped, how the goons got Mohini's phone number and more awkward questions ... but I guess the worry for both Maithili and Paro over-rode all other thoughts.
Maithili does wake up, and is promptly chloroformed again ... small details, good to see. It wasn't possible for her to sleep through with one dose of chloroform.
Sumer and Paro reach the rendezvous site ... Sumer disappears to do the negotiations ... Maithili sees the waiting Paro, and tries her best to call out ... and from the precap, Paro sees her and runs to the rescue. The women of the family are shernis! Especially Paro ... already into Durga avatar! āļøš
Sumer will have to help Paro, if he doesn't want to blow his cover. I don't see Rudra arriving in time tomorrow for the grand rescue ... let's see.
