Disclaimer: Granted i have not watched all there is out there and this opinion is formed from the few I watched and an audience that is limited to India Forums...

Purity = Virginity (Young girls, porcelain like), inherently good, who have the capacity to absorb tragedy and evil around them and yet see and believe in the eternal "good". Godly and wise.

Impurity = Sexual (being aware of ones body and not limiting oneself to the ONE man) ..so these girls are inherently evil sharp tongued revengeful and will die a very harsh death or die reformed conceding to the pure beauty mentioned above. Also if one has been "promiscuous" then one cannot embody any of the other qualities of the pure ..ie you automatically become the wench the liar the thief the evil one..

*Purity and Impurity is almost always the domain of women ...

Mother = Sings lullaby, ever loving and serving and gives up all to rear the child or dies of a broken heart (be it suicide) . IF you have left a child you fall into the evil category.

Saas = Torturous and evil or extremely kind and loving ..(nothing in between)

Villains: Cunning and Bad and Evil. Always scheming and almost always failing ... If they are men then they are misleading in every way incapable of loving or being genuine. and if female then wench.

Heroes : paint them anyway grey black white ...they are all inherently good just very hurt people.

So I have put down a few that jump out at me ..there are more and for sure there are some that you disagree with...

So lets hear your point of view...

Redemption - The act of repenting for earlier wrongdoings, a road that may or may not be traveled in the future but gives enough premise for the script writers to justify the acts of the hero early on in the game.

with the heroine more than ready to understand/forget everything and start afresh

i cant figure out what did laila do wrong and what did rudra do right

was i watching a different show , the sexual relationship is/was between two people , how is rudra pure enough to marry paro , but laila cant ever seek rudra?

one more issue i have is in order to make it cliched they are making rudra's character week

i will paste what i pasted in another post

if they show rudra's personal issues creating confusion in this 'project' of his , makes him a bad officer , contrary to what they began wasnt he the committed officer who asked aman to free the girls because he knew what he was doing

laila reacting is rudra's fault , she has no idea(because she was not informed) that she is doing harm or going against rudra's duty because she was not informed

my problem is this problem is not a regular household problem(like in most other show)

but they are handling it as a regular house hold problem, he is getting married girlfriend upset wants to take revenge and all that

they wanted a vamp and now they have it

..but of course, usually the slate is wiped clean in one scene. She be the all forgiving nature you see😕😲

Younger sister : funny , over the top behaviour ...

I can think of some cliched situations more than characters right now , you have pretty much covered all 😊

Evidence : the most important evidence is usually mislaid and keeps rolling and collecting moss for abt 2-3 episodes ( sometimes a month , depending on the show ..) till its found .

Accidental trip/ fall and catch : between the ML and the FL ...theek hai 😆

Hero will smirk and back up the heroine against closest wall door cupboard whatever and twist her arms behind her back whilst said heroine will quake and remain passive , anything else like resisting the advances especially if she is single will lead to a complaint to the Broadcast Council so she has to be shown submissive and we all will drool and die cause that was meant to indicate Foreplay on Indian Television

Reality is far ahead from Indian TV soap..

Here hero is all negative, guilty, impure, sinful..

While our heroine is all simple,pure, innocent, dutiful..sighhh..😔

Hope The CVs have the guts to show the realty in heroines part too..

Male leads can commit any mistake at any tangent but must be forgiven and forgotten by FL reason bad past ,baggage - Courtesy fangirls

FL should be gods and never show attitude self respect and should never give back what she got if so she is cruel OTT

Blame the damn writer..🥱 Or the viewrs ( mainly women) who wants to watch other women without self respect.. 😕
