Papa Roshan learnt from srk after spending 35-40r years in BW.. how to do garbad gotala on BO. But in the end Aamir had the last laugh. Blv what u wanna blv. Why didnt papa roshan faked the figures for Kites? Or any of his movies as director or producer? Bcoz he was so naive? Or why didnt srk fake figures for Paheli or PBDHH? coz he was naive then?
No1 doubted D3 BO coz its baap of all producers.. YRF. They distribute their own films. Their words r final. But they dont fake figures either or else.. all Adi's films wud be hits or blockbusters.
What wud anyone get from faking numbers? More income tax? Is it worth the ego? Khans have ego.. no doubt. But Roshans? HR can earn 10s of Crs doing more commercials and stage performances. Easy money!
In 90s, it used to be so-called scam by big producers to churn out one disaster flop to save income tax by showing huge losses in one project. Boney Kapoor's Roop ki rani.. Subhash Ghai's Trimurti and YRF's Parampara comes to mind. that was just media created rubbish as well.
If it is easy to fake Bo numbers these days then imagine what wud have happened b4 90s... no cellphones, no internet.. May be Big B wasnt that BIG,.. may be Rajesh Khanna didnt gave 13 Hits in a row.. may be.. may be.
😆 I never doubted producer's numbers.. coz ultimately its passed onto distributors and exhibitors.. u can bribe a jerno or website but u cant bribe whole 4000 screens and the ppl involved.. If u can bribe them all and also willing to pay more income tax than u deserve.. then why not just buy a cheap website like BOI? or better sue them in court? asking them show their sources of BO numbers? The guy who sits in US runs the site and refuse to acknowledge Tamil/Telugu versions of Hindi films collections.. even in worldwide collections? For the next big films, they find the Tamil telugu BO collections.
I cud have opened a separate topic for this.. but here u can see how easy it is for some idiots on websites or twitter to come up with articles like this.. and based upon that, we start doubting producers in BW with credibility.. and it doesnt even have any logic/common sense behind it.. forget abt calling up every 4000 screens across India to find out how much they earned for the day.. They might tell u to f**k off unless u r the distributor who reply back to producers.
Anyways, never doubted any producers in 80s, 90s or new millenia. Esp. when Rakesh Roshan was called names coz of BO numbers.. when the family was in personal turmoil. It did make sour taste in my mouth. D3's success wasnt celebrated as much ppl tried enjoying "fake" numbers of K3. Based on a site thats hardly 7 years old and keep changing their numbers and verdicts of past movies.. as if its a game show.
Call RR or Hr any names as long as its funny. Huh, I love to make fun of Salman, srk too but never doubted their starpower or Bo numbers of their films. If Sohail Khan thot its so easy to fake numbers and call Jai ho a blockbuster.. then he cud "donate" extra fake money to Salman's charity and ask for Income tax return. But nah, either they too dumb or too honest. More than others who fake numbers.. 😛
