Wonderful Post Diya and absolutely loved it that the PH gives us answers ...
Loved Rudra's reasoning over the marriage and why they must go through all the rituals. He knows he is not worthy of her, she deserves better. This Dekhte Hai is not some petty tu tu mein mein game! A lot more is at stake for both. You can see this from his plans to keep an eye on Tejawat's moves. He is not taking his enemy for granted.
LOl but if she does not sign by the fourth day, Rudra still wants to marry her? Hmmm...his reason being she should be punished...or does he want to remain as her captor for life? He had lost her to Varun once, he won't let her go that easily the second time. Me thinks it's a very possessive male speaking here.
And then Paro having visions of her previous marriage and rituals. Glad the CVs showed us Paro thinking about it. Which out of the two is for real? The motive behind the first happy marriage was fake, here the rituals are a farce but the motive is known to both and is as real as it can get. Here every chant was heard and the Gods invoked.
Sanaya looked stunning as always...the mirror light that reflected on Rudra's face was so symbolic. Paro being so pure is that her brightness will always shine upon him whilst unnerving him and will soon brighten up his dark life.
The sword that he pulled out of its scabbard would one day be lifted to protect her and his loved ones.
And I must mention this though I am off track here. That I love how the CVs have entwined their love story. What I like about RR is that it's an intense love story though brought out in very rural settings. And that's the charm of it.
The day that Rudra & Paro met as kids. Their journeys taking them in the opposite directions. She threw him a doll that provided him comfort over the years, and unknowingly he in turn had left behind his mother for her.
Rudra's share of motherly love and affection for 15 years was bestowed upon Paro by Mala Thakurian her Godmother. 15 saal ka pyaar udhar hai Paro ke pass!
What a connect. Their past will only make their love stronger. No doubt the hurt the accusations would be flung at his mother. But to realize that the love of his life received nurturing from his very own mother. Whatever Paro stands for, her values, her upbringing came from his very own mother.
And then Rukmini the titli and her color. Little did we realize that its color blue symbolizes the color of poison (karma) consumed by Lord Shiva. The eternal butterfly, her dost (or the soul of her mother), a messenger of Bholenath who would appear before her every time Rudra came into her presence.
The first time we met Rukmini was when Paro as a little girl followed the butterfly that led to her dead parents. Tej's karma had led to their death. Yet Rukmani wasn't around to console her then. She flew away.
When Paro left her rudraksha at home that day, it was Rudra himself who saved her from the goons. Rukmini appeared then fluttering her wings unknowingly bringing the message of her Protector.
Bholenath's messenger appeared again when she twirled and danced for the false one, whilst her true mate the lone ranger rode into her abode on a mission.
And then again the day when she was brought into the haveli, she found Rukmini leading her to him telling her "I bring him to you"
When Paro faced the Fox like Mohini, she had already made up her mind. She did not go back and ponder and think over it and then tell Mohini off. She had chosen the path Bholenath had laid down for her. I would like to take a real life incident and apply its philosophy here.
Paro stands in a tunnel of fire at the closest burning end. She chooses to walk through this fire (Rudra), come out scathed yet Alive. She abandons the farther end. Why? cause if she chooses the unknown farther end, the flames of the fire would consume her even before she reach it.
Then we have Nandini that represent The Bull whose life has been destroyed by the poisoned Tejawat...yet it would be Rudra who would come save her someday soon. Nandi symbolizes the one who remains as gatekeeper to Shiv & Parvati, the one who will cement and safeguard their relationship in the near future.
It's going to be a thrilling week ahead. Cant' wait to see Mala's and Rudra confrontation.
