The next morning had gone by quickly. I was with aunty, making sure that all of the decorations were perfect. It was 5 in the evening when I finally decided to get ready. I headed back to my house and started to get ready. The party was set to start at 6, so I had an hour to get ready.

I walked downstairs, where my dad was waiting for me, once I was ready. "Wait a second, who is this?" he asked when I came downstairs. "Papa, come on. I don't look that different," I said. "You're looking just like a princess," he said and kissed my forehead.

I smiled and said, "Can we go now? Otherwise we will get late," I said. "One minute, let me get a picture of my beautiful princess," he said. He took his camera and I posed for the picture.

"Now we can go," he said. "One minute, today my Papa is also looking very handsome. I'll take your picture as well," I said taking the camera from his hands. "Papa, smile." He smiled and I took the picture.

"Let's go now, otherwise we're going to be late," Papa said. We headed out of the house towards Mrityunjay's house. I walked in with Papa and was greeted by Aunty.

"Taara, you're looking absolutely beautiful," she said. "God bless you." I smiled and looked around. Some of the guests had arrived and the party had started. I looked up at the stairs and saw Mrityunjay. I gave him a thumbs up to say that he was looking good, but he wasn't replying. It was as if he was lost in his own world. That was weird.

I was getting ready in my room when my dad walked in. "Hey Dad," I said. "What are you doing here?" "I needed to talk to you about something," he said. "Yeah sure," I replied.

"In tonight's party, there's going to be a big announcement, I hope you know that. And this decision is most likely going to change your life forever," he said. "Dad, I'm sure that whatever decision you have taken, you have taken for my benefit," I said. My dad had always thought the best about me and I'm sure that his decision would be right. "Ok, you hurry up and get ready, the party's about to begin," he said and left.

I headed downstairs as soon as I was ready and stopped in my tracks as soon as I saw her. She was looking even more gorgeous than yesterday in that dress. I couldn't figure out if that dress made her look more beautiful or if she made that dress more beautiful. I was just lost in my thoughts until I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned around and saw my dad.

"Why are you standing here? Let's go down," he said. "Yeah," I said and walked down with my dad. I stopped in front of Taara. "Mrityunjay, isn't Taara looking beautiful today?" my mom asked. "Yeah, beautiful," I replied. The smile on her face grew wider. "May I have this dance?" I asked, extending my hand forward. "Ok," she said and put her hand in mine. Her hand fit perfectly in mine. I led her to the dance floor and put my hand on her waist.

"By the way Mrityunjay, what happened to you up there? It was as if you were lost in your own world," she said. "It was nothing, I was... I was just thinking about Dad's announcement," I replied. "Oh yeah, today uncle's gonna make that big announcement. Did he tell you what it was?" she asked. "No, do you know anything?" I asked. She shook her head and said, "No. I planned the party and I still don't know anything."

We danced in silence for a bit. As soon as the song ended, my mom called her over. "Taara, come here," I heard my mom call her. "Mrityunjay, we'll meet later," she said and left, leaving me on the dance floor alone. I sighed and headed towards some of the guests that were waiting to talk to me.

"Aunty, please tell me, what is this huge announcement that uncle wants to make? I can't wait anymore," I said. "Should I tell you?" she asked. "Yes aunty, tell me," I said. She told me what the announcement was.

"Aunty are you serious?" I asked. I was so happy for Mrityunjay. This was probably the best thing that ever happened in his life. "Yes Taara, now just check one last time to make sure that the food order has come correctly, until then I'll just go check on the guests," she said. "Ok," I said and headed to check one last time. Everything was perfect.

I headed back out to the party and saw Mrityunjay talking to some of the company's workers. I headed towards him and introduced myself to them. I was enjoying talking to them when uncle suddenly said, "Good evening ladies and gentlemen." Everyone turned to him and the lights dimmed. "As you all know that the party tonight is in honour of the return of my son Mrityunjay." Everyone turned to look towards Mrityunjay and he smiled. "However, there is also another major reason for this party. I would like to make a very special announcement. As you all know, we have opened up a new office in Mumbai. That office and in fact, all of the Shekawat Textiles business, is now in the hands of my son, Mrityunjay Singh Shekawat." Everyone applauded. I looked at Mrityunjay and saw that he wasn't smiling. "Mrityunjay, what happened? Aren't you happy?" I asked, resting my hand on his shoulder. "Yeah, I'm really happy," he said and smiled. "Now that's like my best friend," I said and gave him a hug.

Wow... Now I was in charge of the entire Shekawat Textiles. This was just amazing! I hadn't expected Dad to say this at all. I hugged Taara and headed up onto the stage to be with my dad. He gave me a hug. "Thank you everyone, and please enjoy the rest of the party," he said and we headed off stage. I was surrounded by lots of people and endless congratulation wishes. It took some time, but I finally managed to get away from everyone. I saw Taara with my mom and some other ladies. I went up to her and whispered, "Meet me on terrace in 5. I need to talk to you." I smiled at everyone and headed up to the terrace.

Terrace? Why? He should be down here enjoying the party. Anyways, I excused my self from the conversation and headed upstairs. "What happened?" I asked as soon as I saw Mrityunjay. "Nothing, I just wanted to spend some time with you," he replied. "You're going to Mumbai, that's why right?" I asked. I realized that this meant that he would be moving to Mumbai.

"I don't want to be away from you again," he said. "Mumbai's not as far as London is ok, you can at least come to visit us," I said. "Yeah, but I thought that after London, I would be here in Bhopal, with my family and my best friends," he said. "I'll go to Mumbai with you then too," I said. "No, you should stay here. Who else is going to take care of Uncle?" he asked. "Yeah that's true... That's ok, I'll come and meet you," I said. "Hmm," he said.

We sat there in silence for a bit, letting the sounds of the party fade out from downstairs. I don't know how long we sat there for, but it was long enough that the entire party had finished downstairs. But we didn't care. We just wanted to spend some time together before Mrityunjay had to leave. Again...
