The coffee was really a stress buster for the two ladies...
zoya was refreshed najma heaved a sigh of relief...
dilshad was busy doing mehmaan nawazi of zeenat which the latter did not approve... every 15 minutes they would indulge in a cute banter of tu-tu main-main and the younger ladies would sort the stuff time and again...
anwar was busy in the old lanes of bhopal, his friends, their families- phoopas n phoophis chachas n chachis- how he missed this abroad... the family gatherings in courtyards, the smell of kebabs, khas ka sharbat, masjid ki azaan... these small things had a fragrance of his childhood which through so many years was lost in the crowds...
the two busy men- asad and rashid were lost in their corporate world...
a new project whose planning was to start had been halted even before finalisation due to the backing out of their designer at the 11th hour... rashid was calm but asad had lost all his sense...
everyone in the office got a bombarding from him... as weekend was round the corner and employees had to leave early coz of their pre-plannings... but nobody had the guts to approach the lion of the territory asad ahmed khan...
taking his coffee mug rashid passed by the passage where he saw a crowd of his office fellows discussing as what to do and what not to...
noticing rashid all of them quitened... but as a good employer and a sensitive person he asked them to leave... it was already 5pm and asad was in no mood to entertain anyone... it was a custom at his place that people would take permission and then leave... such was his kingdom...
his mood being synchronized nobody dared to enter the lion's den...
" but asad sir", one of them found his lost voice back...
" i'll handle him", rashid gestured them to leave...
asad accompanying him in work had given him both support and headache...
" asad we should leave now its 5-30 anwar must be waiting...", rashid said settling on the couch in asad's cabin...
it was always difficult to persuade asad... he would neither bend nor blend... others always had to suffer because of this habit of his...
asad agreed after a lot of persuasion from rashid...
they reached home at 7 in the evening...
DINNER TIME:
everyone gathered in the dining area for the dinner... najma and zoya setting the table, dilshad and zeenat bringing the food items from the kitchen...
the men first settled down...
"hmmm, this smells delicious", anwar said when the bowl of rajma was place in the center of table...
" indeed it has to be zoya made it", najma said chirpily... at this water had almost sprinkled out of asad's mouth... and then started his signature coughs...
" bhaijaan you must taste this and tell... do not judge before being served..." najma said sternly...
