Forensic investigation...

Although Sanchi's case seems hopeless till they find the missing MMS, the fact is that the level of forensic investigation seems to be pathetically low in this case. Others on this forum have noted that the criminal case of rape should have been filed and fought by the Public Prosecutor, perhaps then more effort would have been taken in gathering evidence.
  1. When Sanchi was brought to the hospital and rape was reported, I don't remember if the police showed up at the farmhouse. They should have, to gather evidence and interview potential witnesses.
  2. Everyone present that evening in the farmhouse should have been interrogated in order to establish the sequence of events, and movements of everyone.
  3. Someone other than Saurabh's crooked friends would have noticed him taking her upstairs.
  4. Sanchi's glass - would have traces of the date-rape drug, and Saurabh's fingerprints on it.
  5. Mobile phone records - of both Sanchi and Saurabh. These would atleast establish the number of times Saurabh called her after the incident, even while she was in hospital.
  6. The mobile phone records of Saurabh would also establish that the IMEI number of the mobile changed a few days after the incident, indicating that the phone has been changed. Once this is established, it can be investigated further.
There are several things which, if not downright proof, do cast doubt on Saurabh's actions and deserve further investigation from which the truth can be exposed. Even if the DNA test result is tampered with, I hope the creative team explores these other options.

I forgot to add -
There would also have been DNA evidence from both Sanchi and Saurabh on the bed where she was lying down.

Dear your post is absolutely accurate

But all this applies to the real world

Telly world mein there are too many loop holes

Don't try to find logic not should we present our own

This is for our own sanity

+++++

Sa n Sau finger prints on the glass n also traces of DRD in the glass will not prove Sau gave them to her

Yes the doctor herself should report such crimes as it is the duty if the doctor but for it to happen at once they should have taken her to a govt hosp where police cabin is there for immediate action

The cops should have been informed at once about the rave too; rave is not legal

The secretions of both Sa n Sau from the bed sheets yes; CSI was not done at all

Eye witness I don't think any of the selfish bs at the party would have come forward

What can I say Loop holes; no usage of actual knowledge of law n procedure

+++++

They should watch CSI all its variations

Creative never do research for their tracks. Their tracks are just about drama - some rona-dhona, some strong words, a few slaps and angry glares, bribing (I know corruption is an issue, but still it is not easy to bribe and get your work done as is shown in this serial) etc. There is no chance of them copying anything about logical tracks from this forum.

Agreed, Sanchi+Saurabh fingerprints on the glass is not enough to prove his guilt. But it does prove that nobody else touched the glass. Or maybe a bartender's prints will also be on the glass. Anyway, it definitely opens up an avenue for investigation.

On the bedclothes - not just secretions, but also hair, fibres from clothing.

Eye witnesses - Saurabh's bad friends were only a handful, whereas there were dozens of people there. They would be able to tell whether Saurabh was seen going upstairs, and also, importantly, whether anyone else was seen going upstairs or not.

On a different topic, even the way court-cases are shown in TV serials and in movies is pathetic. Counsel and even witnesses give lectures constantly, talk directly to the defendant or plaintiff.

Sanchi won the case? How do you know this? Is it from some promo?

Another item which can be brought up in the courtroom - Anandi meeting Saurabh, quizzing him, slapping him in front of a lot of people, then examining his cellphone.

She can describe how he kept saying that he has deleted the MMS.

If he is really innocent, what MMS is he talking about - even if Kabra has a low opinion of Sanchi, he should know that Anandi will not lie and it should give him pause to think about whether his brother is being completely honest.

Anandi may not have any proof of her meetings with Saurabh or whether he said that he has deleted the MMS. Her words may have some influence on defense lawyer, but it cannot be said as a proof. It is strange that they have not shown any police investigation in this case. Investigation and collection of proof is responsibility of police.
