Also he didn't have connections with Shanoo, Shanoo remembered him and asked him to come for an audition.

I'm not saying Ranveer didn't struggle and work hard to get where is. Believe me, I know everything about his background. I'm just saying that at the end of the day it's all about connections in Bollywood. If he didn't know Shanoo Sharma then to this date he'd still be auditioning or would've settled for a supporting role in some B-grade film.

Then the same goes for siddarth malhotra and deepika padukone, because of thier connections and knowing people in the industry they got the opportunity to star in big banner movies. It all comes from being discoverd, Shanoo discovered ranveer, karan discovered siddarth and farha discovered deepika. But they r still called outsiders because they are not industry kids, this thread is about industry kids.

Also if ranveer was churning out flops after flops then who does he have to fall back on? Nobody, Shanoo is just a casting director at yrf, if ranveers movies started to fail then because he doesn't have a filmy name to fall back on then his bollywood career wud start to sink.
Ranveer said this himself that he has to work twice as hard and be even more careful with his scripts because he doesn't have a filmy family to fall back on, and he has always spoken about not being fond of nepotism and elitism in the industry.

Yea, when he is a star now. Arjun had far bigger struggles in life and grew up with a single mom. He got here on his own as well and had to go through tough times with her illness. That's the only advantage he got from being Boney Kapoor's son. Don't see how he that has helped him at all. While you're glorifying Ranveer's struggles and belittling his due to a surname. :D Yes, i do respect Arjun for making it on his own despite all this. Arjun was discovered too using your same logic.

In regards with arjun I am talking about the fact his dad cud have made a movie for him, the opportunity was there, I am not saying that arjun used his name to get into the industry, he didn't and more power to him for that. But he does have the advantage of his dad being a producer, because look now his dad is making a movie for him.

I never said that Ranveer wasn't an outsider I said he wasn't a "complete outsider"... which is someone who has no connections or film family whatsoever and auditions for roles as a "nobody". Stop taking that as an insult... it's not bad that Ranveer knew Shanoo, it's cool because he's hard-working and talented. However Ranveer did have an advantage over other struggling actors when he auditioned for Bittoo Sharma because he had an insider by his side.

Lol I'm not taking it as an insult, I am just giving examples such as siddarth and deepika are also not 'complete' outsiders then either because they had connections.
Atleast ranveer did struggle and also had to audition for his role in BBB, deepika said she didn't even have to audition for om shanti om.

Common even then he isnt a outsider. It isnt as if there wasnt even a bit of influence! He did not struggle as much outsiders do! So no he isnt an outsider!

First know his story before u say that he didn't struggle as much, he is an outsider because he auditioned and was rejected which all outsiders go through.
Having relations don't matter when they don't have any input in helping set up ur career
