I know many have been unhappy with the way events have unfolded after a beautiful week...yes, the editing from Friday to Monday left a lot to be desired... but, after having just come off watching all three episodes again, I think I can see what the CVs are trying to achieve and its not unpleasant!😊

Because realization is a slow process and acceptance a slower one...

Its taken both Jodha and Jalal a good time to be at the place they are at currently.. both have stumbled, fumbled and made mistakes - both have taken time to gain trust (what with so many forces working against them at every stage) and yet, they've emerged victorious!
Yes, there will be many more of such in future too (power play, politics, religious issues etc) that will try to be a thorn in their journey ahead together - but, them overcoming all of that if what makes this journey epic!

THE JALAL-JODHA-RUQAIYYA EQUATION
Plenty of us must have been caught in between battles of possessive friends, misunderstandings etc. Those who have, would know that the person in the middle rarely emerges happy/victorious/peaceful after all of it. Whatever he/she does will generally be deemed wrong by the other party. Similarly, here Jalal is trying to weigh the differences between both ladies and make his decisions accordingly. It's the first time in his life he's having to choose between two people he cares for - first time he's trying to do this delicate balancing act that's bound to go awry some times because unfortunately there is no textbook code for the whys and hows of human behaviour!
While his head says that he shouldn't avoid Ruqaiyya completely, his heart wants to be with Jodha. When his heart and head can see that Jodha is the 'purer' one, his mind knows it'd be unfair to ignore Ruqaiyya altogether too. It's not an easy task.

So, he's observing - maybe making a few mistakes in the process, but his heart is in the right place. Today, HB makes a significant statement 'Jalal cannot understand how his own family members can plot against one another' - when he realizes Ruqaiyya's reality (and her prime love is for Shehenshah, the man - rather than Jalal, the man) he is going to be dismayed!
He did take a stern stance against Ruqaiyya when she wanted to do the tour as a queen. He did taunt her during the roti scene and he makes no effort to hide his attraction for Jodha - what with his obviously wandering gazes even in Ruqaiyya's presence. So, we shouldn't assume he's not making choices. He is - littler steps at a time - but, it is overall in the right direction. After all, these choices mean undoing/going against a lot of things/people he's been used to for more than 11 years now and it will take time!
Besides, before voicing his overt opinion on the matter he might want a more definitive nod from Jodha to ensure that the feelings are mutual. After the unfortunate circumstances they've been through, he wants to make sure of that much before proceeding so and I can understand why.

THE KHEMA SCENE
I am confident that if Jalal had been there at the scene to witness Ruqaiyya's taunt, he would have acted differently. He wasn't there (and the CVs also seem to have kept it like him considering it a mutual decision - because there is no guilt in his eyes as he casts his gazes upon Jodha- its more affection and longing on watching Jodha.😕 Similarly, she's just happy he's there watching her) So, I take it he's assumed it was her decision to sleep outside since he knows that as of now that she is not comfortable sharing a bed with him, yet. [Lets not even go down Jodha and Ruqaiyya sharing the tent route, because we all know the outcome of that one!😆]

Also; while, Jalal could have handled the outcome differently, what is to say he didn't spend the night sitting by Jodha - the CVs didn't show us the entire scene properly. The khema was an open one and there were no guards inside or outside. The only difference being the fact that there was a mattress inside and no mattress outside.

We have to deduce the fact that he didn't let Jodha come to any harm because of the evident happiness she had on her face following her return to Agra. What do we know what happened - she opens her eyes, sees him - he sees her and then cut to AK! What's to say he didn't spend 5 minutes inside and 5 hours with Jodha? After all, both queens were still awake and aware of what happened - so it couldn't have been deep into the night. At least, that's my assumption purely based on Jalal and Jodha's evident flirtatious happiness on their return!😊 Had the CVs portrayed it like Jalal had watched the taunt and stayed silent, I would have been very upset with him..
Since they haven't shown it so and both leads are happy, I'm taking it that that's not what they were trying to achieve!

Neither did we witness an unhappy Jodha nor a gloating Ruqaiyya (apart from her saying they both couldn't become intimately one) so why are we assuming it as a humiliation rather than a simple alternative sleeping arrangement? Jodha is not blind in love and she will never be one - not like BB. [Had she been so, she wouldn't have opposed the man she loves to boldly go ahead to do what she did today i.e. meet BB - which is unlawful]
Had it meant to be an offensive scene, the CVs would have shown the outcome that way - but it wasn't.

So, my take is that it was symbolic - to show (according to the soul talk too) that - even if Jalal is beside Ruqaiyya, his heart is with Jodha and he comes to seek her company - drawn away from the closed confines and seeming luxuries of the tent.
It held more symbolism here than in the palace and so was put in here - better explanation/editing could have possibly achieved the effect it had to, but I think that's what they were trying to depict...

JODHA
Jodha is at a much better place in her life now - she is genuinely happy! The happiness on her face is well and beyond anything I have seen so far. The glow on her face matches the lustre on Jalal's (Btw, the scene where he cut away from Atgah khan's talk drawn to her room is beautifully executed!)
She's happy because she's secure and confident - and that cannot happen if she's lost her identity - it can only happen when she's gained another one! She is discovering the first feeling of love - much like he is and she's going through all those feminine sensations like most women would.
She's understood the man for what he is, accepted him with his faults and embraced him with those traits.
She doesn't react to Ruqaiyya's nonsensical blabbing not because she's become docile - but, because she knows it affects not Jalal's opinions of her (and she doesn't want to waste her effort/energy on it.)
She is very much in touch with her feisty side. Only, this feisty queen has started experiencing love and has softened since she's started thinking outside the box.

PRECAP
Jodha remembers the scene of her death JUST as much as Jalal does. There is no way one can remember it and one cannot! Makes no sense whatsoever! Besides, Jalal was the conscious party of the two. Hope the ZEE people don't take us for a ride with that one!

These explanations have helped me understand the progress and the leads better and appreciate the story one again...hope it does the same for some (if not all) others too 😳

So glad Lashy u have supported Jalal in the khema scene. I agree with you. He couldn't refuse Ruq's wish but in spite of himself, he is drawn outside to Jodha. Possibly he did spend the rest of the night talking with her. Like you said, we have to look at the symbolism. Not just now, but since the beginning of their relationship, Jalal has been drawn to Jodha almost as if he's in a trance many times.
When they were newly married, I think in the MC track, Jalal was sleeping with Ruq but got up in the middle of the night and started thinking about Jodha.

Great to see your post! On the khema scene, I think it was the execution that was lacking that made it seem that Jalal was resting peacefully while Jodha was outside, etc.
I actually thought the CVs were trying to show during the khema scene that Ruqs could separate them only physically but not emotionally- but I like your simpler view better.

Love the new happy Jodha!

The CVs have put some speed breakers in the love story but they are heading in the right direction!

Yes...similar to that...I'm just giving him the benefit of doubt here as we haven't seen anything otherwise...also, had Jodhas position, safety been compromised it would make no sense to show both jalal and Jodha gushing and blushing when they entered Agra -something that MA observed at once...😊

As I said, had they shown it like Jalal had made an error of omission, then it'd make nonsense to not follow it up with a guilty expression ...which Jalal is quite good at doing anyway😆
So, I take it he had no idea of the taunt and assumed Jodha was happy...
The editing was useless and the whole scene could have been done without...but, I understand why they did it too...it would not have had the same effect in the palace...also, Jalal coming to Jodhas room in the night to observe her sounds a bit 'errr stalkish' 😆here, it makes more sense...if you know what I mean...

Thank you for analyzing Jalal's point of view. You made things clearer. In the Khema scene, some are of the opinion that Jalal disregarded Jodha's safety by letting her sleep outside.
That is not true, firstly the tent was open, so no safety would have been had by sleeping in the tent. Secondly Ruqaiya had a posse of soldiers with her, these soldiers would surely have been used for security and other menial tasks like lighting fire for warmth beside Jodha's sleeping place.

The only issue was poor editing, so we could not see which should have been pretty obvious considering that Jalal is an emperor and Jodha is a queen.

Good post Lashy.

About precap, for us they showed it as though Jalal was talking to Jodha's spirit as it is leaving her body. But Jalal was not dead, so how can he do that? It's actually Jalal talking in real to Jodha who is almost about to die. She heard him and decided she cannot die and came back to life. The CVs didn't want to show a typical filmi scene and showed the spirit talk. But Jodha remembers what Jalal said because he was talking to the real her and she was not yet dead.

This is what I think.

Jalal was so happy to go and talk to Jodha and the way she held his hand was pleasing😳, Jalal loved it. But when Jalal a simple ques what she liked better-his company or journey, then why could Jodha not say she liked his company?🤓 That is not confession about love? It was plain silly on part of CVs. 😡
I didn't like the Jodha rant to Hamida for Bakshi. I agree with Hamida +Jalal that besmirching a wife's reputation is unpardonable and could even mean death. Society was apathetic towards this.
The precap is confounding. How does Jodha know about the soul talk of Jalal?😳 Presuming that she does know somehow, then she would know that Jalal loves her. The whole talk about Benz being beautiful etc is useless then🤓. Why her insecurity and eagerness to seek praise? It was shown to be Jalal's soul talk because he asks Jodha to wake up and he can't let her go. That is why when she wakes up, he feels at ease. Only CVs know what they are out to prove.

What a mess, being created by CVs? Why are they ruining the beautiful scene? They could have shown the hair incense scene with her previous rant too.😕

If there is a misunderstanding created between Jodha-Jalal that would demean the prophecy by Sheikh Chisti, Shaguni Begum and the soul talk. Besides both Jalal and Jodha have stated that they are understanding each other. This might pull down TRPs.
