All this while most of us were hoping that Samrat is only a rude and rough guy and there will be love between Sam and Urmi but it seems after Honeymoon disaster.. the way rating of the show are coming down.. people are really disappointed..
So far we have seen shows where male lead is rough, angry, rude but their character have never been shown in grey .. there is some goodness somewhere .. but this time makers have tried a new recipe and it seems they have taken Samrat at point of No Return ..

Will audience accept now if Urmi and Samrat be back together ? Will Urmi accept his HOTY with a label of a sex maniac.? a person with double standards..

SO far we have seen male leads hating the female lead for some reason but in this case their is no reason so it is difficult to digest this new pattern of Romance -- now it seems since Mohit Malik got raving reviews for his negative character they have perhaps changed the plot and decide to make him out and out negative .. and Urmi .. god knows what will happen to her.

I have had no hope of Urmi and SamRAT lasting in this marriage.

From the start I had a feeling that the CV's were going to push his character to the limits and were going to show how much of it Urmi would take before telling him to take a hike.

There is no saving grace to SamRAT. I am hoping that this show will have thinking outside the box and show that women of today will not tolerate this kind of behaviour.

Urmi is still slow on accepting that her husband is as bad as he seems to be and has some hope that it will get better.

But it is not going to get better and as you pointed out SamRAT is reaching a "Point Of No Return" and will have to be dealt with accordingly.

Urmi get out of your fantasy and deal with him as a mature woman who needs equality and respect in a marriage not this overbearing and arrogant boor like SamRAT.

Personally I think that Sam talks too much and there is always sarcasm in his voice, words and tone. He was so rude to Urmi when he kept her upstairs while her family waited downstairs.

Her FIL said to Sam that with his senseless breaking of relationships will lead him to be left all by himself.
From this statement, it seems like we have yet to see his worse side.

Urmi has started to speak up a little bit but she still dares not to speak straight to his face or in other words she is not ready to confront him.
Wow! to sam's character is all I can say.

true..i agree with your statement she is not ready to confront samrat ..but everyday in goa also she try to oppose samrat and when samrat see other girls..once she also scold samrat there...she is oppenning her mouth in front of samrat slowly and slowly after knowing his real face and attitude..the way he behaves with others..ofcourse urmi do not like that ..we have to just wait and see how urmi go strong and stand for herself on her own and oppose samrat ..and when samrat cross his limits ..leave him..

Honestly, I hate Samrat's character. I think he is filthy disgusting. His behavior is unacceptable. Samrat is honestly at the point of no return. I don't want Urmi and Samrat to fall in love. He has all the qualities of a bad husband. He is mentally abusing Urmi and would have physically abused her too if he got the chance to do so in Goa. I am not sure why anyone would fall for their abuser. It would be disgusting if the writers of the show decided to make them fall in love and have them live a "happy ever after life" because that just goes to show that women should suffer through every injustice that is thrown their way and if they stick it out then they can have a healthy relationship with their husband even though we know that is far from the truth.

As much as Samrat's character angers me, the character that drives me insane and up the wall is Urmi's! The woman has no backbone whatsoever. She listens to everything Samrat says without uttering a word. She cannot make decisions for her self. The last episode where Samrat refused to let her go downstairs until she found the watch was absurd. I am not sure why she even listened to him. She should have marched downstairs to meet her parents. Honestly, what I cannot see to understand is, how long does it take to realize that the person you are married to as an absolutely horrible person who has no respect for people whatsoever. She is a mature young woman, she should know how to judge someone. Instead of pointing out and understanding that her husband is wrong, she finds ways to defend him. I don't get it.

Sorry for the rant. I think it is ridiculous what the writers are showing us.

Sam continuously criticizes Urmi. He belittles and degrades her with his actions. He is emotionally and physiologically abusing her and also his whole family.
He uses his economic power to control everyone. He intimates his family and people around him with his looks, gestures and actions. Making light of his abuse and not taking his family's (including Urmi) feeling seriously. Critiquing, blaming, calling names and shouting is normal for him. He humiliates anyone even Ishaan in Goa. His mother needs to be thrown out of the house. She gives him support. He needs to see a shrink so badly...

While I am upset at Urmi's character and lack of strong female leads in general, I think it does hint that many women (including myself) take years to develop backbones to stand up to their abuser. It is really privileged to say "just stand up to him" or "grown a backbone" when one has not been through the cycle of abuse.

I am so proud that many of us have been socialized to have a concept of womens rights, many people have not and only adds to their oppression because they think they are being a good wife. NOT STANDING UP DOES NOT MAKE ABUSE YOUR FAULT. And when we make such arguments like just stand up, we partially are victim blaming. Some people are sensitive, there are a lot of nuanced psychological issues that should not be ignored.

Just my two cents.
