Jai Ho has just entered the 100 crore club. So

Bombay Times thinks it is timely to present an updated list of the men and women who have set the turnstiles spinning.

In Bollywood, it is often the box office that separates the boys from the men. And if you check out the list of the 22 100-crore plus films, you will see the muscle-power of the men over the boys.

The girls, of course, have less to contribute. While Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Priyanka Chopra have displayed their acting chops in the 100cr films, some of the other girls who are present in the prestigious club have just been arm-candy to the men with muscle.

As for the directors, often referred to as the captain of the ship, well, only a couple of them can be lauded for turning meaningful cinema into box office winners. The rest of the makers are present on this list because the call of Hindi cinema box office is very different. It isn't evolved cinema that runs; it is often trite that has might at the ticket windows.

I assure you, she'll still be in a list of top 3. According to Ormax she still is.

Other lists still include her. Her stardom really is beyond hits and flops.

Yes, she took a hit, isn't #1 or #2 anymore, but still up there. 2 miserable flops, but still up there.

The list is flawed. Ready is not listed or else Asin had four 100 crore movies too, as many as Kareena. 😆

Yes she is still in top 3 but her popularity is fast dipping.

She was never number 1 though, she was always at #3. Until Ash took a break from movies in 2011, and only in 2012 was Kareena #2, in 2013 she came back to #3 as Deepika crossed her easily.

I'm sure she will get another 100 crore movie with Singham 2, but that will hardly make any difference. 😆

2008 she was #1. She shot up to #1 in 2007 and remained there until Kat came along and then she was #2. Until 2011 when she took one up above Kat with Bodyguard and Ra.One.

Before BOI used to have top 3 ranking of actresses everywhere, but they re-made their website so all that date is gone.

When has Kareena ever got a film an opening?

Only 3 actresses can claim to have any kind of 'star-power' - Kat, Dpad and Vidya. The rest are all glorified Asin's include Kareena.
