Did they show all that, or was it just Manikantan kills Mahishi and bam!!! It's over?

Today, I finally got the time to watch the entire Manikantan track online, and I agree w/ you - it was poorly done. First, they tossed the Brahmari Devi thing into this, and then, they didn't show the details of Manikantan's adoptive family. Rajashekhara had found that child and got it home, and initially, both he & his wife were happy, since they were childless. However, the minister - I forget his name - was filled w/ envy, and seething. Later, the queen did give birth to a child of her own, and now got resentful of the fact that her adopted son would have greater rights to the throne than her own birth child. The minister saw his opening and got her to send Manikantan out. By missing so many details, they left us scratching our heads - how is it that in one scene, Rajashekhara is pining for a son & takes Manikanthan home, and the next thing we see is his queen w/ another baby? 🤔

Also, the minister was not there to witness the king's conversation w/ Manikanthan. What happened was that after a few months, he was infected w/ leprosy, and Manikanthan approached him in a dream and told him to bathe in the Sabrimala river & then go to his temple. He did, and all his disease was cured. He then went to the temple, fully chastened. Incidentally, it was his chant that gave Ayappa his name.
