Rangrasiya .
The word refers to a man of many passions, many colours and loves of vivid kinds. In reference to the show, it refers to how Paro's character perceives Rudra - As an amalgamation and concoction of many shades and many colours. How she decodes him and loves him inspite of his endless shades and colours. So, apart from one paragraph on Rudra and one paragraph on Paro , lets see Rudra and today's episode from Paro's POV.
1. The heart always knows its mirror image , its twin. Even before the person does. Today, Paro sees and identifies Rudra simply by the sound of a door bang. A man she thinks she hates, a man she doesn't know at all ( or so our lady will like to believe ) , a man she sees as a complicated and twisted 'Rangrasiya' - she reads his presence like the back of her hand , without even seeing him. Her "Aise to wohee aa sakte hain" runs deep.
2. When she takes tea for him, she sees another shade to him. First, the surprised and innocent "Kya?" with goggled eyes to her "Chaai". Then, his silent compliance to her eye-ball roll signalling Mausam Aunty's presence. The travel of reluctant innocence from "do" to " dijjiye".
3. When she looks at his face as he grabs her hand and stops her from picking his shoes. His steady gaze at her and his slight shake of his head - don't do it. His defence of her when he holds her hand rightfully and tells his Mausam aunty that she will not touch his shoes.
4. When she sees the defiant concern turn to escalating emotional temper as Mausam aunty stabs him with a whole sheath of arrows , manufactured in his mother's land.
5. When she stops in her tracks and her face begins to melt at the sight of a sad and depressed Rudra wiping his tears all alone.
Living under one roof and in his life, Paro is seeing Rudra in all his shades - good, bad, ugly and the whole spectrum that you can think of. This will only make it tougher for her to arrive on a permanent judgment on him. He says he hates you , he verbally spanks you, pins you, threatens you, and then, falls on you like a shower of roses , which is soon followed by his own autumn and your isolation. How is Paro supposed to decide how she sees him? He shocks her , intimidates her and yet seeps slowly into her . Enough to make her an expert at identifying him by the wind that brings him in. And when you look at her curious and pensive face as she sees the weeping Rudra , you wonder if she will actually have the heart to see Rudra on his knees someday? Think it over.
Rudra is a ruin and Paro is the restoration artist. She is 100000000000000000 times stronger than Rudra on the inside. Tragedy fell on both of them - Paro absorbed it . Rudra got perforated by it. Today's episode shows how EASY it is to break Rudra. Just a little chink and the whole glass palace will come crashing down. This is the reason that he needs Paro, If he is saving her from the world, she will save him from himself.
That said, the most poignant moment is the doll scene. The way Rudra's face melts like that of a baby with a faint smile , and tears rising , and how he holds her close, recalling the smiling face of little Paro, you are made to understand that the only act of compassion and kindness that he remembers is of little Paro. He remembers her with love and gratitude - because she was kind to him. And just as he puts the doll back in the trunk, Paro appears on the scene , stopping in her tracks and arrested by a softer and sentimental Rudra. The placing of the doll back in the trunk and Paro's instant appearance shows that he will not need the memory of little Paro anymore . because she herself is here and she will never leave him.
The look exchange that Rudra and Paro have across the glass as he wipes off his lone tear is SOMETHING. He could not help his tears and she could not help looking at him.
For the rest- Mausam aunty was on a roll - she was pickle-like with Paro and very very cruel to Rudra. Surprise, surprise - Chaachu Sa has been in touch with Rudra's mom and that was quite a teaser by the creative team. Sumer was useless as usual but he is a trouble under manufacture.
Paro's pep talk to Sunehri was beautiful - that how every person is perfect the way they are made. It once again highlighted her caring and wise soul.
But the best scenes were of Paro and Rudra - Cute, caring, intense , sad and poignant. Especially Rudra's surprised and innocent "Kya?" to Paro's equally cute "Chaai." And not to forget how he shakes his head at Paro and makes her stand up , telling her and the world that she will not touch his shoes.
What today's episode conveys is that Rudra is a ruin and if there is any hope of restoration for him, its Paro.
P.S- Excellent dialogues and execution of the doll scene today. š
