A Dream Realized!

Finally!!
Their room was ready.
He has known her like an eternity now and he shouldn't be but he was... Saraswatichandra was nervous!!
Last time he had to pay to get in his room for his wedding night which didn't really happen but this time the door of his room was open. Nobody was there to disturb them. When he reached the doorstep, he found the bed empty. His Kumud was not there sitting in the middle of it, her face covered by the "ghungat" as every man would expect his bride to be on his "suhaag raat".
His eyes scanned the room and... there she stood at the window, playing with her mangalsutra, staring at the glowing moon...
His Kumud!! His fierce, brave n "ladaku" Kumud!!
But tonight she looked so delicate, so wistful, so ethereal clad in a red saree, her hair cascading on her shoulders to reach her waist adorned with the waist chain he has gifted her on their wedding day.
A vision he wanted to behold and hold!!
She was so lost in her thoughts that it seemed she had not noticed when he came softly and stood behind her, framing her body with his. But Saras knew she had sensed his presence. She always does like he never fails to feel her.
He held her shoulders gently and she turned towards him with a coy and shy smile. She was sight! SIMPLY gorgeous with her forehead filled with his name's vermillion and her nose ring shining. He smiled back; his love shining in his face and reflecting in his eyes for her to see... He wanted her to see...he needed her to see even though he knows that she knows how much he loves her.
Tonight was their night, their moment which they have waited for like eternity and he wanted these moments to be cherished. He wanted to tell her how much he loves her, how much he has dreamt of her in his room with him every night and how much he has prayed for this moment where he could proudly call her Mrs Kumud Saraswatichandra.
He was about to start...but she stopped him. She put her finger on his lips and gently shook her head. Surprised, he looked at her with a questioning smile, trying to decipher what she wanted. Every woman would love to get a love confession on her wedding night, every woman would want to be told how much she is loved, how precious and special she was...
But she was not every woman. She was his Kumud.
She smiled.
The smile which always stirs him inside out.
A smile which conveyed her unspoken message - today their eyes, their heart, and their souls would have to do the talking.
She was right!! The moment was too precious to waste on words. Words if spoken would only shatter the magic of the moment. He placed his arm tenderly on her slender waist waiting for her to respond. Nothing could have prepared him for the emotions flitting across her face. She moved closer to him and leaned into him with a gentle blush. He felt her arms tightening around his waist as her head rested on his chest. This was the first time SHE was taking the initiative and it tucked at something within him as he remembered when he had told her that he would wait for the day she would claim him. And the day has come.
At this moment he loved her even more. He sighed. She looked up at him, her face glowing.
He drew her closer, his arms circling her waist tighter. Teasing her with his eyes, luring her with his smile, making her all nervous and excited at the same time, he lowered his face to hers, almost touching her soft lips but she did not shy away but... rather looked at him invitingly. He smirked at her with naughty eyes and touched the graceful curve of her neck with his lips.
The feel of her hair tickling his nose, filling his senses, made him go in a trance.
The warmth of his breath, the feeling of rightness at his nearness' made her sigh.
He paused.
He looked at her and then moved to the sideboard at her left. When he turned to her, he had a wooden box in his hand, his eyes inviting her to open it... Her eyes watered. Her plain and white horni' now brightly coloured with the seven colours of life!! He put it on her head as her eyes dropped the tears they could no longer hold. He was to cup her face but she surprised him by lifting her hand to caress his face. This time he didn't shut his eyes to get lost in the moment but chose to get lost in her eyes as her fingers run on his cheek...
That undone him!
He lifted her in his arm and moved to the bed, his eyes never leaving hers as they looked at each other. His eyes were full of passion, a passion he was holding the minute he entered the room. He placed her on the bed to let her head rest gently on the pillow and leaned on top of her. She gazed at his face and felt shy under his powerful gaze which refused to waver. Realizing that she was still holding on the collar of his kurta, her eyes drifted to his chest and blushed as she saw him smirked.
She turned her face away and he moved closer to kiss her cheek while his hand was removing her earrings. As she closed her eyes in anticipation, she felt him stroking her left arm to reach her hand to remove her bangles. The other set of bangles were also discarded with care.
When his warm hand shifted to her waist leaving a burning sensation wherever it touched and left, she felt her insides churned. She felt her kamarband falling on the bed just at her side and acutely embarrassed and shy, she found herself turning to him and hiding her face in his chest, her breathing uneven. His name escaped her lips in a whisper.
He tightened his grips around her, relishing on the effect he was having on her.- Kumud!!
Her name had never sounded so beautiful and she lifted her face to look at the man who made every single thing related to her feel special. What she saw in those eyes were enough to live for a lifetime. She felt the urge to let him know how she felt about him too, though she too knows that he knows!
- I love you Saras.
From there she lost count of time and her surroundings. She only knew that his lips had claimed hers without warning and he had kissed her like never before and she had let him and had responded with equal passion shedding away all reserves n inhibitions that she had!
Epilogue:
Saras woke up in the middle of the night in the most exquisite way - Kumud's hair tickling his face. When he opened his eyes, his beautiful bride was sleeping at his side, her tresses spread over his pillow, her arm naturally across his chest, a shadow of a smile on her sleeping lips.
He gazed lovingly at her and suddenly he felt an inexplicable joy, an ecstasy which wanted to explode and come on the surface.
He felt the urge to jump with joy, wake her up by kissing her silly, make her laugh with him and make love to her all over again. But no! She needed to sleep. And he would only hold her tightly, firmly and lovingly all night!
