Dhoom 3 did more damage for kat than good! Wrong choice!

Maybe you didn't mean it in that manner, but it sure sounds condescneding towards Deepika who had 2 strong performances last year and Sona who was beyond brilliant in Lootera.

TM: It didn't damage her career or popularity. But like I said, she could have spent more time polishing her acting skills rather than dancing skills if she wanted too. But she clearly doesn't want to be a number ACTRESS. She wants to be a number 1 STAR. There's a difference. I loved Kamli and have it on repeat mode, but truth be told D3 was a horrible screenplay. If she keeps up this trend then it might damage her career b/c Alia, Anushka, Pari, Sona, Sonam, Deepika, PC, etc are all beautiful and are all picking acting-oriented scripts.

It's just one movie, how much can it effect her career. The thing is that she had only one release in the whole year and obviously got judged on just that one. I would say, even though the movie and the dances were not that great BUT still how often would she get to do all of that circus (malang/kamli) stuff? It was good to do something that was different.

Yes aamir did not live up to expectations as he is same aamir who gave us 3i , taalash, etc..and agree he did this to spin money, even aamir phans here say the same, but hes coming back with PK, by raju hirani and the aamir we know.

In dhoom 3 aamir wanted todo everything (be the hero (the handicapped sahir), the villian, the dancer, etc) the whole movie was about him, not an ensemble cast (like in 3i, or even taalash) Kareenas role was small but had impact, heck even rani as the grieving mother made some waves)

In dhoom 3 it was a one man show, and to some aamir lovers thats great, but to dhoom lovers not so great, it wasnt a dhoom movie, and yes to some aamirs acting/ more so dancing was cringe worthy!!

On topic:

But Katrina already as BO she dont need to regain that in 2012 she was in one the biggest movies that year ETT, and another yash raj movie, and so too suddenly get a role as an extended cameo is shocking, did it hurt her ? Bo wise no but many complained on her role not just length but what was her purpose other then to dance and romance the antihero/villian!!

And regarding them using her well its a business, but dhoom still without katrina would have scored 200 because its a brand but yes she helped with at least 50-70 crore!! ( esp her kamli dance/strip tease) !! And maalang song !!

by the way, WHAT damage? Is she getting less paid or lesser movies

or less endorsements? Has her top slot position changed? Everyone

agrees Kat brought up the box office numbers of Dhoom 3 by unbelievable

size for a heroine and isnt that what every bollywood producer director

actor wants? what damage, again?

I totally agree... not just Katrina, I feel even for Aamir this film backfired as his reputation of an actor with a difference got damaged as he hammed like anything throughout the movie which I least expected being an AK fan myself... and the movie itself was a disgrace to watch, atleast for me as it has NOTHING to offer even as an entertaining masala potboiler it fell flat on its face.

The only people get any benefit out of D3 can be either the producers or the film industry in general just due to the profits it generated.

WHAT A HEARTBREAK & disappointment I got out of the movie that I waited so anxiously for the last five years.

Dhoom was katrina worst role in her career period. She cannot portray a complex role or roles which vidya deepika Kareena priyanka could portray but she surely could do better than she did in dhoom.

I liked her in Welcome, partner, znmd. The roles she played in these movies were not difficult but she did justice with these three roles maybe because they were ordinary roles. I cannot say that she was good in ek tha tiger but I like her chemistry with salman.

Jab tak has jaan was a worst movie of Srk. I don't think katrina was able to do justice with that role,
