having a year off would have been a good idea

at least the last people remembered of her would have been ETT and JTHJ- both in which she had pivotal roles

with D3 she has sort of mocked herself totally

and why she did that movie- popularity?

screen always gave her best actress popular- even last year she won for JTHJ but this year even that went to dpad

so what did D3 even do? just brought her ample amount of criticism for being a flower pot

this flower pot image which she broke way back in 2005 by doing strong roles each year

2008-Yuvraaj

2009 -NY

2010- Rajneeti

2011- ZNMD, MBKD

2012- ETT, JTHJ

has been brought back and there has been SO much criticism

a 10 minute role seriously!

I got back from the cinema and heard people say stuff like "Katrina ko tou sirf mujra karne ke liye rakha tha, I thought she will have a role like ash in D2"

it has all done a lot of damage to her

not like she needed to prove her dancing skills to do the movie- she already did that with so many numbers

in a nut shell- BACKFIRED!

D3 counts as a big negative for her

Yes her role was very short in Dhoom 3, I agree with that.

But I don't think it was a bad move. She is as popular as ever. And the Kamli song is #1 on many charts - people remember her more for her 10-minute appearance in 12 months rather than some chicks who had 3 fully fledged roles in movies over the same period.

I think so in the sense it let others like deepika move ahead, i mean it was her only movie and her role was way too short and she got overshadowed by aamir khan who was way too much in the movie, it was basucally about him..she was more like an extended cameo!!

Only plus point was she got BO success and some songs, but role wise no growth!! The trailers showed that her role wasnt much and she and no dialogues, but i thought tbh they were going to surprise us that she was undercover cop or some way help in the story, because they kept on saying how hard she was working, and she had no other projects, but then to see this was shocking!!

in ETT she had the best role and Huge BO success!!

It's not about role it'sabout dhoom ffranchise
I can bet you that no actress would have passed the oopportunity to star in dhoom wwith aamir
I tell you where she has ggone wrong
She sshould have ssigned more films last year and has 2-3 releases this year along with dhoom
Then probably people would have been ssatisfied
Being her only rrelease and that too 15min role has ddisappointed many

Well I actually liked her in D3 more than the constipated Aamir! So I think it wasn't that bad!

D3 has proven a negative for Aamir also...I have never seen Aamir being bashed so much for a movie and his acting...although I think that the movie and Aamir's acting were both top notch...but the general thinking is that Aamir was bad in the movie...so basically if we think D3 did nothing for Aamir too...it just put him back in the BO game...same for Katrina...she had a short role...but if Aamir wasn't appreciated ...who would appreciate Katrina...but atleast she has the biggest BO starrer to her credit atleast...

and shame on YRF,...they shamelessly promoted this movie based on Kat's starpower...and in real her role was tiny...but still producers still trust Kat's star power more than anything else 😆

Ok katrina is pretty, can dance beautifully, and refrains from sh*t talking, which gives her a likable image.

But lets not kid ourselves, as an actor, she plain sucks.

I'm glad she didn't have a big role in Dhoom 3, because I wouldn't want her to ruin the movie for me (like she did for JTHJ) -_-

She's popular and loved by the masses and she knows that.

I'm glad she picks roles that upholds the image of her being a star, rather than a serious actress.

Yeah it did damage that us why she is getting big movies offers n signing new ad deals everyday and number 1 actress acc. To forbes. Every1 will love such damage!

that is all thanks to her previous works

she was already number 1 when she signed D3

not like D3 made her number 1

those brands, endorsements and everything would have been there even if she had no release in 2013- infact people might not have bashed her so much for 10 min role either

I kinda agree. Film consumed too much of her time as she had to learn acrobatics and stuff too. She would have definitely done another movie with a more prominent role if not for D3. Perhaps YJHD.
