Suraiya - the BLIND mother v Usman - the PROUD mamu

Suraiya indeed proves she's such a BLIND mother... who felt aliya's deed was more embarrassing than zain's drunken act...she actually tried to manipulate usman in believing that their insult was all due to aliya being caught stealing, but usman being the intelligent man overlooked aliya's act and questioned suraiya about zain's drinking habit and suraiya was gobsmacked and tried justifying it by saying u know the young generation...I mean come on they are a MUSLIM family, drinking alcohol is haram in islam, hating aliya is 1 thing but she as a mother should have told zain off for drinking alcohol rather than standing before her husband trying to justify her son's actions and behaviour...

Aaj toh overall Suraiya ka taai taai fis ho gaya😆😆

Even though they spent the first 10 minutes on this whole issue, I was very glad that they made Osman question Suraiyya about Zain's drinking. It was necessary to reveal why and how Zain did continue to have such a habit, even if not an addict, kahaan se mila usse Guts.

And I can't help but mention that Osman gets one of bestest punch lines in the show. He speaks so short, but it reaches the right destination. I really would like congratulate the script writers.

Now lets see if this makes Osman more determined to send them on a honeymoon or not. I would love to see Suraiyya's face when that happens.

So I think, the first few minutes of the show were well spent even if it was not much of ZaYa.

exactly, im glad usman questioned it...and suraiya was speechless im surprised she had no problem with zain drinking...like she completely overlooked it and it wasn't a small thing to overlook... I mean I had assumed she didn't know about zain's drinking for real considering when she asked zain what bottle he was talking about, zain didn't mention it was a wine bottle so that made me think that he didn't want to disclose to his mother that he drinks occasionally.

A Mamu? Today infact, I saw him be a Dad more than everything. Despite Suraiya's accusations that he was blind to his son's pain in favouring Aliya, it was actually Usman who put Zain as his top priority & above everything today while Suriya was much more interested in showing down Aliya. The irony. Today...he was Zain's dad first.

a proud mamu becos of the first scene between suraiya and usman where he supported aliya is saying that aliya could never be a thief... it showed his immense trust in her... I agree he was a father in today's episode but he was a father who knows his niece is the best partner for his son...so he was a father and mamu both... but the difference was he was a PROUD mamu and NOT a PROUD dad...

exactly, disliking/hating aliya is one thing but overlooking ur son's bad deed is another... I cant get over the fact that she was NOT at all fazed by the fact that her son had come drunk...its NOT a small thing at least not for them considering they are a Muslim family and no1 in that family drinks as its Haram. suraiya seemed unusually calm about zain's drinking when clearly it seemed she had no idea about it...that's why zain didn't even tell her openly that the bottle aliya ruined was a WINE bottle becos he never told his mum that he drinks...had he told her, he wouldn't have hesitated in informing suraiya that it was a wine bottle.
