If JaJo together want love with a capital L, then they have to count the cost. They have been thrown together by plan (Jalal's plan) and circumstance (Jodha). They know enough by now about what it's going to take to embark on the road to love.

They will have to individually decide if it's worth the risk, worth the pain. Love between a man and wife takes commitment. Needs loyalty. As much security as is possible in that Agra set up. It all adds up to a great vehicle for a story.

...and is pride still a factor...

If Jalal can stop Jodha from entering heaven with their soul talk, these costs are very easily attainable and both can overcome the risks easily.😃
