Sone ki seedi hypocrisy

What hogwash they showed in the name of sone ki seedi. If sone ki seedi can be chadoed with adopted child as in the case of ansh, why did they not show that with mannu instead of driving ganga to near-death. The way they have glorified ganga putting her life at risk is deeply regressive. What is the message here? That you can adopt a child but it is your own blood that will be your waaris and for whom you will chado seedi?You must have that waaris no matter what the cost. Just pray to devi maa and you can chado seedi.
The duplicity is made worse by ds magnanimously asking daddu to chado seedi for amol. I'm glad. Daddu complied gracefully instead of wishing for a biological parpota. By the same token why did Ds not include mannu in the seedi function?

Also it is sheer nonsense of daadisa to say she would have chadoed seedi with a great grand-daughter too. Bv should have made jagan's baby a girl instead of just of talking. The proof of the pudding is in the eating. If ds was really so evolved she would have never obsessed for the family's waaris in the firdt place. Mannu to hai lekin apna khoon apna hota hai, the whole family said. These words cannot be taken back by the belated adoption of mannu.

And that puja for the child done by the mothers, why was bhairavi excluded from it? They could have included at least one girl child in the celebrations?
The entire episode was a thinly disguised son-glorification. I hope KB people behave better if ansh have their biological baby instead of pretend inclusion of adopted child. For all that people have cursed Ira she hasnt once spoken of ansh's own baby after amol's arrival. Nor has anyone else in KB.

@smiely exactly. She has two great grand- children who count for nothing -- only because Sugna is female. what upsets me is BV passes of obscurantism as being progressive and pats itself on the back. I found the entire celebration and the gratitude shown to ganga by ds and BH quite off-putting. How many celebrations will they have? Why not show career challenges for ansh and jagan instead of endless dancing and clapping to that irritating tara tatta ta music and idiotic plastic smiles all around?

@ sidra according to you mannu is not jagan's son? If he was, then by your logic the new baby should have been a girl. The reason the baby is male is to enable ds to get a waaris and chado seedi. Not once did anyone in BH say mannu is family's waaris. If they felt that way they wouldnt have cried for jagya's bio child and even after knowing ganga's condition. And ganga herself-- her awful words that her body was useless if it didnt produce the waaris still rings in my ears.

And mind you not just ganga, gehna too promised a waaris when she fought with ds and decided to leave BH. And whenever a BH bahu promises a waaris miraculously it will be a male. So waaris equal to your own blood and male. Of course the rule can be relaxed for others -as in the case of anandi and KB and you can pat yourself on the back for being progressive.

I would rather shows were openly regressive than than this kind of fake modernity.

This importance for the male heir is less in the Shekhars' household though. They treat Shiv, Mahi & Saanchi equally.

First of all chill i find this'' mind you'' very aggressive word to me and try to understand my comment first before pointing on my logic I am also a girl you don't need to show me which rule for me can be relaxed and what not

DS should also have put a gold chain around Amol too. As she considers Anandi as her grand daughter ,and Anandi's Son has made DS par NANI . DS is a rich women I'am sure she could have afforded a gold chain for Amol . Why was he left out ? I did not like it 👎🏼

I do agree that this sone ki seedi function looks like an act of hypocrisy.
