Ela, this is one episode which confused me... My thoughts on how Jalal should have handled the situation keep changing...or maybe, it is the first time that I am unable to give him the benefit of the doubt. A part of me understands how he could not just leave Rukkiya in Ben's panja and run after Jodha... On the other hand, this selfless woman who was being badly humiliated by every Tom, Dick and Harry in Agra, did not lose sight of her goal and managed to save your life by almost sacrificing her own. How could be stop himself from running after her... Even if he did...trying to be practical, at least don't utter those diaglogues to Ben that make you look thankless. Today, I was also very disappointed with his leadership and crisis management skills.
We all know that he will realize his mistake and apologiize to Jodha. More importantly, I want him to make Rukkiya apologiize to Jodha. It is time to change the harem dynamics. No one in Agra questioned Rukkiya when she slapped Jodha for putting Jalal's life in danger. Since Rukkiya has committed the same crime, the least she needs to do is apologize to Jodha for repeatedly humiliating her. And since she criticized Jodha at DEK, the apology needs to happen there as well. .. I am not saying that Jodha needs to be elevated to the top position right away... It will only increase the number of her enemies) but officially given the same position as Rukkiya. She has earned it. Just because Rukkiya had spent more time with does not make her automatically eligible to be the queen bee...She may have earned the title initially but has not has not anything to make a case that she deserves to retain it.
