ch34 - love Geet's bond with everyone be it maan or Dev or Kabir's mom or tara...she knows how to win hearts

Geet is far too simple to be a heroine in a story. But for me this essence of her, the trueness of her character, the acceptance and love she gives unconditionally to everyone, the pureness of her heart makes her perfect😃

Chapter 32: Ye Nayan Darre Darre

You have no idea what pleasure it was to read this chapter once again! Now that the story has moved so much beyond the silent, shy love, coming back to this chapter was absolute bliss! It reminded me how much I love their silent love story. ❤️

Geet's dream was so innocent as compared to Maan's, yet it gave me butterflies the same way. Through this whole chapter, I adored Geet. So innocent, so clear-hearted and so pure. She appeared to be the most vulnerable thing who needed protection from the big bad world but then I really appreciated her action of trying to get "even" with Maan, though it was born out of her innocence. She's such an adorable thing! Why wouldn't have Maan fallen for her!

Maan's dream was, ahem, nothing close to what I would call innocent. And the effect of it on him... Poor Maan! 😆 His word association made me laugh. Did he think that by replacing Geet with karela, it'd be easier to avoid Geet? My vote is that he would start loving karela. 😆
I really really liked the way you have shown Maan to be here. A young college going guy, trying to balance between studies and work, secretly in love with a girl, but mature enough to control his desires, boyish enough to have to talk himself into silly stuff like "karela" and lost enough to leave a trail of things around the house. Really really liked it!

The filing room scene. Well, it was... it was... ethereal! Just like it was for Maan. I really wanted Geet to have done something like that (taking a bit of liberty, that is) and Maan to find it out somehow. And it did happen. Only that made Maan's condition worse. 😆 but at least he found out about it because of Geet's innocence! She was so cute in that scene! Unknowingly blurting out her secret. 😆

I know you must have dropped the hope of ever receiving comments from me for each chapter but I have a promise to fulfil and I will, no matter how much time it takes!

Chapter 33: Returning To You

Chandan. Poonam ka Chand. That is a very smart choice of names here, Avi! I wouldn't have guessed it, just like the rest of the people, but Dev did. It often happens that someone who is totally out of the matters, a third person, can see through things deeper than the close people do.

Chandan and Dev's time together was a pleasant surprise. It's good that they met and got acquainted on good terms even before they knew they were actually associated with each other in some way.

Up until this chapter, Chandan was just another person for me, albeit, the one who had wronged Poonam with his action. His action did repulse me but I don't think I felt anything for him as a person. With this chapter, looking at things from his viewpoint, I felt sympathy for him. I was shocked, of course, when it was revealed that he had assumed the child to be Jeet's, but then thinking of it, nobody ever really talked to him about that. The one who should have was not in a condition to. It was pleasing that at least Tara got a father's love and Chandan got that of a daughter. Not every stepparent is as loving to his stepchild and vice versa. I do feel sad for Chandan that he had to lose everything even before he could find that happiness, and most of the credit goes to his elder brother. Damn that Brij!

So Dev is back to fight for his love with his lady love! Way to go! 😃 I am liking this guy even more now! It was fun reading how he acted on his vow to not let her go away or push him away. It worked! 😆
The funniest part was "Devji" Devarji" revelation. Smart naming again! 😆 oh, and I didn't miss that Savitri ma'am told Geet to call him Devji "for now"! 😳

I was just listening to this song today. How is that for a connection?

I can't lose hope ever Mari. It is an essential element for me, like breathing and faith in God.

I loved Geet in this too and Nauri's shayr too.

This reminded me of the good ol days of torturing Maan😆

Thanks Mari. 🤗

Chapter 34: Angel, Have Mercy On Me

Maithili. Bestowed by God, betrayed by fate. Her story was one which is the reality of an average woman here in the Asian subcontinent. Where daughters grow up as princesses only to end up as slaves to their husbands. Where a mother keeps enduring it all silently for her child's future. Where the husband has an inferiority complex so he tries his best to suppress the physically weaker gender by any means that he can. I pity men like Sumeet. They destroy their own life along with others' in their own complexes and insecurities. It is their own inability to deal with facts and gracefully accept things the way they are and be thankful for what they have been blessed with, which doesn't let them live in peace and destroys their family. What is worse is that it is not only their life in line. People associated with them, like Maithili and Kabir suffer equally. And though it is painful for Maithili and it might sound harsh of me, I am very glad Sumeet left her. There was nothing except humiliation that she had and she would continue to gain with Sumeet in her and her son's life!

Knowing Kabir's side of the story and how difficult a childhood he has had to see, I don't think I blame him for having chosen to pretend everything was okay by having fun with his friends, partying and stuff. Life wasn't easy on him too, when he had dropped from the riches to rags. And that was where his transformation started from. A thought occurred to me while reading this, and I am probably to slow one here. It was Brij, wasn't it? The perpetrator. I wonder if he will ever be punished for what he did to Maithili? And if it's not him, whether the criminal will be caught by Kabir or not...

Geet and Maan's part was an instant antidote to the dark clouds of the Bhattacharya family's life. And though (when I read it the first time) I wondered if Maan would be able to confess before going away and if she would accept, the panic of it was soon washed away by the one-up in their relationship in this part. 😃 I did think, "Arey waah! Maan mein toh suddenly Geet ke saath masti karne ki himmat aa gayi!" But as soon as he lost his words while looking into her eyes, I knew then and there that he was still the same (and adored! ❤️) Maan from before! 😆

The pictures were eye candy, so to say. Couldn't help but pause and state for a moment too short!

I like your names better😃 but I did pick the names out for Poonam Tara and Chand for the correlation. Megha I had to keep separate for the suspense. Maithili was also based on her character.

Sometimes inaction is also a crime. Chandan was too laid back to take the bull by the horns. Sometimes a man has to be a man when it comes to staring down his family and protecting his wife and child. That was his only flaw. Unfortunately in society this flaw is the primary reason women have to suffer; this inaction and passiveness. While people can get away with this behavior, their life is never 100% of what it could be.
So Dev is back to fight for his love with his lady love! Way to go! 😃 I am liking this guy even more now! It was fun reading how he acted on his vow to not let her go away or push him away. It worked! 😆

You are perhaps the only person who caught it.😆Thanks Mari. It is so much fun to read your comment. Even now weeks after I wrote it I can remember exactly what I wanted to convey from your words.

It is not only that he left her; he broke her, he took everything that had value in her life and left her when she was down.

Yes, you guessed right. This is where life gets complicated for all of them now.
Geet and Maan's part was an instant antidote to the dark clouds of the Bhattacharya family's life.
