Lol i hear ya..There is literally no comparison..I like Ranbir and have mentioned on a lot of occasions how i find him charming..But to be quite honest, it all pales in comparison to the SRK of 90s or even the early 2000s😆 I used to have a full blown crush on Sharukh after DDLJ..I don think any actor from this generation has the charm to pull off those lover boy roles the way Sharukh did..Oh and i do think no actor from the younger lot is as good looking as Salman( the 90s one i mean)😆 I was never really a fan of Aamir in the 90s though..It was post Lagaan that i started noticing him..It was just SRK and more SRK😆 But now, its reached a stage where i just don care what Salman or SRK are up to😆 All they care about is breaking eachother's record and since i don get a share in the profit, i don even bother watching their movies..Its really sad though..Sharukh has such a terrible script sense and Salman seems to run some Rozgar Yojana where he wants to employ all the jobless ones😆 I guess they'l start experimenting once their movies start flopping😆 Like AB Sr was forced to take up side characters beyond a point😆 At this point though, the younger crop of actors totally pawn the Khans😆
But we can't blame Srk salman for doing same types of movies, because audience doesn't accept them in serious movies,
Srk did swades which I think was not that successful but one of the best roles he ever done but sadly audience didnt accepted him in that role.
Salman did kyon ki which again was not successful but it was a different role but audience didnt accepted him in that role
And yes movies which aamir did were really popular. But sadly dhoom 3 broke all records but it wasn't aamir best movie, I found taalash better than dhoom 3 but taalash wasn't a blockbuster like dhoom 3.
So basically we cannot blame the actors. They don't experiment with new things because India's audience and box office comes in the way.
Anyways I think salman was really good in dabbang 1, dabbang 2, and in ek tha tiger. Same goes with Srk he was great in chak de india and quite entertaining in CE.
audience do accept!audience are very intelligent- stars assume them to be stupidswades didn't work because it was a terrible movie- had it been a well crafted and better executed one like lagan it surely would have struck gold!and movies like kahani, TDP etc all prove that audience desperately want better from these stars than the same ghissa pitta!
