watched the three movies former movies back to back today...dear god what adorableness...the khans were so so so so very charming in the 90s...im not necessarily talking abt acting here but more about their zeal, their energy which came across onscreen so well...
i cant help but notice that they seem really jaded now...sure they are much older and people change...but the amount of interest and enthu they had in their work dosent come across anymore...they look so bored in JH, CE and D3...

keeping aside technique and craft and merely looking at how "into it" they are, does anyone else get the feeling that they are getting sick of their work and not enjoying it anymore as they used to, which is why they just dunt care anymore.,..?

I mean, even ABsnr and Rishi kapoor et al show excitement and enthusiasm abt their work but the khans constantly seem like they are buckling under all that pressure and have just lost the will to enjoy their work anymore...

true!
its because rishi experiments
there is something new
like playing that gay character in SOTY- you don't really expect yester year superstars to do that but since he does there is always something new and exciting which remains
what does salman khan do? he is salman khan in every movie! I am sure those tapori dances and all at one point seem boring- I mean you need something new!
SRK has been doing masala crap post MNIK- no wonder he seemed a bit mechanical in CE
Aamir! Is he the one who worked in movies like RDB, lagan and 3 idiots
what did he do in D3?
May be aamir still enjoys a bit as he at least tries to attempt something different but srk and salman are so monotonous!

Lol i hear ya..There is literally no comparison..I like Ranbir and have mentioned on a lot of occasions how i find him charming..But to be quite honest, it all pales in comparison to the SRK of 90s or even the early 2000s😆 I used to have a full blown crush on Sharukh after DDLJ..I don think any actor from this generation has the charm to pull off those lover boy roles the way Sharukh did..Oh and i do think no actor from the younger lot is as good looking as Salman( the 90s one i mean)😆 I was never really a fan of Aamir in the 90s though..It was post Lagaan that i started noticing him..It was just SRK and more SRK😆 But now, its reached a stage where i just don care what Salman or SRK are up to😆 All they care about is breaking eachother's record and since i don get a share in the profit, i don even bother watching their movies..Its really sad though..Sharukh has such a terrible script sense and Salman seems to run some Rozgar Yojana where he wants to employ all the jobless ones😆 I guess they'l start experimenting once their movies start flopping😆 Like AB Sr was forced to take up side characters beyond a point😆 At this point though, the younger crop of actors totally pawn the Khans😆

But we can't blame Srk salman for doing same types of movies, because audience doesn't accept them or any other actor in different roles.
Srk did swades which I think was not that successful but one of the best roles he ever done but sadly audience didnt accepted him in that role.

Salman did kyon ki which again was not successful but it was a different role but audience didnt accepted him in that role

And yes movies which aamir did were really popular. But sadly dhoom 3 broke all records but it wasn't aamir best movie, I found taalash better than dhoom 3 but taalash wasn't a blockbuster like dhoom 3.

So basically we cannot blame the actors. They don't experiment with new things because India's audience and box office comes in the way.

Anyways I think salman was really good in dabbang 1, dabbang 2, and in ek tha tiger. Same goes with Srk he was great in chak de india and quite entertaining in CE.

I think now both of them will. Because salman has sooraj next, kabir khan next, chak de director next, SLB next and Srk have raaees and fan,

audience do accept!
audience are very intelligent- stars assume them to be stupid
swades didn't work because it was a terrible movie- had it been a well crafted and better executed one like lagan it surely would have struck gold!
and movies like kahani, TDP etc all prove that audience desperately want better from these stars than the same ghissa pitta!

Well upcoming flicks of Khans are pretty decent by the looks
Salman (he is moving away from masala now)
- Kick (Stylish action dramedy) With Cheta Bhagat's screenplay
- Kabir Khan's War film.
- Sooraj Barjatya's family drama
- Mahesh Manjrekar's Family/education based film.
- No Entry Mein Entry - Anees Bazme's comedy. Playing double role.
- Shimit Amin's YRF film
- Ali Abaas Zafar's YRF film
SRK
- HNY - Farah Khan's Masala
- Raees - Crime genre
- Fan - Manish Sharma's film
Aamir
- PK - Rajkumar Hirani film
We have to accept that these guys aren't same 20 year old chocolate boys. Can't see them pulling off another those films mentioned above.

I agree with you. I hope they start doing different movies hopefully now they will because both of them have great lineup.

And yes audience watch movies like kahani ect but those movies didnt broke any records like dhoom 3, CE ect and I guess All three of them are more concern on records that's why they are doing these type of movies,

I am really excited for salman movies especially kick, sooraj next and all yash raj movies

Srk line up seems to be decent too, I am excited for HNY because it seems like musical flim and it has deepika with Srk and raees and fan seem to be very interesting

Aamir p.k seem really good too. After all it's RH movie so it will be good
