Paresh Rawal, Vidya Balan conferred with Padma Shri

Professionally 2013 wasn't a great year for the Oh la la
girl but the actor will still walk away with Padma Shri
award this year.

Vidya Balan has been selected for the prestigious Padma Shri
award which is India's fourth highest civilian award . After
winning the National Award in 2012 for her critically acclaimed
film The Dirty Picture , this is another huge milestone for Sidharth
Roy Kapur's wifey. Though last year Vidya starrer Ghanchakkar
failed to impress the audience and critics alike, in the past few
years the starlet has given brilliant performances in films like
Paa, Ishqiya, No One Killed Jessica and Kahaani . Vidya, who
started her acting career with television show Hum Paanch , has
certainly come a long way. so wethinks this award well
deserved. Besides Vids, veteran actor Paresh Rawal will also
receive the Padma Shri award. The Oh My God actor-producer
has been in industry for a long time and we are glad that he will
be conferred with the coveted Padma award for his immense
contribution in the field of cinema.

President Pranab Mukherjee will present the Padma Shri award
to these two eminent personalities of Bollywood at a function
which will be held at Rashtrapati Bhavan around March or April.
